Who: A Damsel (worldhaditsway) and a Hero (theshortestbird), plus, you know, Darkness monsters and a Shadow.
When: Just after midnight, Saturday December 17th, after Christina's midnight show airs.
Where: The streets of Sector Five.
Summary: Christina goes out to hunt down her Shadow. Unfortunately, this happens to look like a damsel in distress situation.
Warnings: Violence

Tim hadn't been near a television all night, but he had heard what was going on from everyone who was talking about it over the NV. Something to do with other people and showing them themselves, but doing something else. Something they shouldn't do ( ... )

Christina's jaw dropped. The Shadow had no real reaction beyond a twitch of its multiple wings as if in annoyance of this intrusion, but the real Christina had more than enough indignation for both of them. She whirled on the new arrival and glowered.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing?" She hissed. She didn't know whether she wanted to outright laugh or shove the cape down his throat. It was bad enough she was being interrupted... Did it really have to be some guy in a superhero costume?

Oh, well. Okay. That was not expected, at all; he'd gone in and rescued people before, but he wasn't expecting someone to be upset with him over it. Maybe not grateful, but not... angry.

"You're being attacked. I was in the area," He said, tilting his head slightly to the side. "It's called being helpful."

"I have it covered," she growled. And in response to that, the Shadow gets fed up of her and lashes out, sending her spinning off of her feet and hitting the ground hard. Without even waiting to see what her newfound savior plans on doing, she wrenches a hand out in his direction. "Stay," she hated doing that- putting ideas in people's heads and she never knew who has a strong enough mind to fight through them, but it was more of reflex while she got her thoughts together.

The Shadow advanced on her and she channeled another blast of white light that struck it in the chest and sent it reeling a bit, but with a price- she'd never used her powers on the defensive this much at one time. She'd never gotten the training necessary to take on something bigger than herself.

The Shadow curled in on itself a little and she could hear it whine in an unnatural voice that wasn't at all like her own. "Help me. Please help me. I don't want to face this alone."It took her a minute, but when she realized it was talking to the damn boy, she hissed, ( ... )
