He enters with the hood of his sweatshirt up, hands stuffed into the kangaroo pocket in front, shoulders hunched slightly forward. There's something pulled in about his posture, defensive.

It's something silly. Something mundane. If he tells himself this enough, if he doesn't allow himself to think anything different, then it has to be true. He will bend the universe to his will to make it true. Because the alternative is a yawning black pit filled with potentials he's seen in bad television shows about purgatory with an overdramatic revelation that the cast has been dead the whole time.
"I am yes. Can I help you?" Erik looks up, toying with a pen.

Serrure almost took a step back as the doctor looked up and he saw those red sclerae, but caught himself, surprise showing only in the widening of his eyes. After a pause, he continued, wasn't the weirdest thing he'd seen, after all.
"Maybe it happened here- or maybe my roommate was wrong or this is, you know, some weird medical condition. Stress related or- well that's why I'm here. Because you're a doctor."
Fast talk to cover nerves. He was used to taking care of himself, used to handling his business.
