Summary: Time to shape up and explore, Doctor. And maybe find a job you won't blow off. Also talk of past events and power-things.

Compared to all of time and space, to a veritable planet all wrapped up in one beautiful blue box, this city was tiny. Sure, there were a lot of mysteries, a lot of things to still figure out, but that didn't mean it wasn't small. Made even smaller by the simple fact that he couldn't escape it, too.

Which was probably why he hadn't been in his assigned room all that much. He barely needed to sleep, as it was, and hadn't gotten a wink of it since he'd gotten here. So, really, there was no reason to be at the apartments. Not while there was still so much to see here. So much hidden just under the surface.

And who better to traverse this strange, complicated city with than the great Rose Tyler? Which was really the only reason he was circling back to the apartments, two mugs of tea in hand. Might as well start the day off right!

Trapped in a city isn't so bad. They have no idea for how long, and to be fair, it is a bit more than just a regular city. The Core, for instance; something interesting to investigate. The two rival companies, their trades and such.. Plenty to keep one busy, in Rose's opinion. Then again, she knows she'll probably start feeling a bit of wanderlust sooner or later. Just a matter of time.

So with her NV strapped to her wrist like normal, she double-steps it down the stairs, zipping her jacket up just a little higher and pushing the front doors of the Newcomer Towers open-- in time to see a certain suit-clad Doctor meandering down the street, cups of something she hopes is hot, in hand. Such a grin to greet him.

Oh, its a positively marvelous city, don't get him wrong. One of the better ones he's been trapped in. Amenities, no spider monarchy, nice little coffee shops on main street. All the works. He's even positive he's seen a little gift shop. As if this place used to get tourists. Or maybe it was just positive thinking. Always hard to know in situations like this.

"Rose! 'Ello!" a grin spread across his face as soon as he saw her, moving forward and handing off the cup of tea he had in his hand to the girl, unable to keep the bounce out of his step. "Nothing like a cuppa to start off a morning exploration, mm?"

Rose might not go as far as to call it marvelous-- she didn't quite fancy the after-dark show, if you know what she means. Then again, could be worse things, if one supposed.

She'll take the proffered cup though, tempting a sip of it's contents-- not too hot, but just hot enough. "What sort've exploration are we up to today? Maybe down by the docks or something?" Yeah, it's a lame suggestion, but it's a chilly morning and her drink is hot. Distractions, distractions. Plus there's the whole .. giddy sort of aspect of being back in his company again. Without the overlaying threat of reality collapsing-- or at least, not as heavily as it was before.
