Summary: Black Bat brings in another injured patient during the Darkness, something she's done more than once. A doctor finally starts copping onto what's going on.

[Another late night, another victim of the Darkness. Simon is rushing towards the lobby the moment he hears the call. Rounding a corner, it's impossible to stop the momentary wince at seeing the child. He hates it when it's children too, hates to think that there's no one keeping these kids safe...no one except the costumed woman apparently. The wounds are bloody, but at a glance Simon can tell they're only cuts. Easy enough to fix.

There's luckily already a room open, all that needs to be done is to get her in there. Of course, if she's unwilling let go of the woman's cape, they might both need to come along. Simon approaches, crouching down to the child's level.]

Hi. It's all right, I'm here to help you. My name's Simon and I'm a doctor here. Do you want to come with me so we can get you bandaged up?

[bodyreads]

[A Newcomer doctor. Simon Tam. She's done her own research on him, since Batman seems to have taken a shine to Daedalus Yumeno. He's nice, smart. She can trust him to take care of the girl. She kneels down and looks at the girl closely.

She touches her chest.]

Be brave. He's nice.

[The girl still doesn't let go of her cape. Her tears are cutting through the grime on her face. Cass frowns, but the girl nods to Simon. She tugs at the cape like the older girl is a dog on a leash.]

[It doesn't look like the Black Bat is going to get away that easily. Simon offers the small girl his hand so they can head back. He won't pick her up unless she seems comfortable with it or asks him too...right now she still seems too scared.]

She can stay for a while if you want her too.

[Simon speaks to the girl but glances up to give the caped woman an apologetic smile. 'Please?']

[She doesn't have much of a choice. She nods, though, and reaches down to pick the girl up. She keeps her close, those tiny claws retracted so she's not hurt. She turns to Simon expectantly, as though to ask where he wants her to go.

The girl sniffs and wipes her eyes.]
