[Simple enough to take care of a few loose ends here and there in the city. A minor drug bust just before sunset isn't hard to break up. She doesn't call the police right away and she doesn't have back-up. Instead, she cuffs both dealers and tosses them into a trashcan to wait. They're screaming in no time not to leave them to the Darkness, but she walks off without much of a care.

Or, at least, that's how she acts.

In reality, she goes across the street and up onto the roof, out of sight, so she can keep an eye on them while she calls it in. They're picked up long before the sirens go off. Frightened bastards. They don't deserve it, not after hiding drugs in a child's backpack, but she won't let anyone die. That's not her style.]

[ The screaming calls his attention, and Damian follows his ears. Eventually, he moves across the rooftops of two apartments and finds himself staring down an alley. Immediately, Damian recognises the faces of those two men. His father has files. Files on most likely everyone. Most of the files, he never showed Damian, but the faces of small-time criminals were far from top secret.

At the sight of the cuffs, the entire set-up, Damian cannot help but crack a smirk. He hops off the roof and onto the concrete below. Having coaxed other children to do his bidding in the past, one of the two men puts on his friendliest face. However, before he can even speak, Damian gets right to the mockery. ]

Someone left you two out here to die? I like them.

[A Robin. He's not as tall as Red Robin, and he's not a girl... So he's one of the two others left. Probably the one she's been speaking with and not using text with. She watches him for a moment and then sighs, hopping to the next rooftop to get closer. He better not provoke them...

Re-l peers down at him. (Someone left you two out here to die? I like them.) She frowns.]

No one's dying.

[The two men look up at her in alarm.]

So long as they keep quiet and cooperate.

[She needs to keep them afraid of her, on guard, and afraid that anything they do will make her leave them. That'll keep them in their place.]

[ A dead silence follows immediately, as the two men look at Re-l with pleading eyes. Damian is ... disappointed. He was hoping they would put up some protest, do something; give him some action for the night.

. . . What? He likes to hit things. Arms crossed, he mutters. ]

Tt. At least act like you both have spines. [ Then, he turns his attention to Re-l. ]

You're ... [ Welp. A name escapes him. Asking for names aren't a habit of his. All he knows is that she was a friend of his father. ] that officer on the network.

[Tonight's a little trickier. It's been days since she's had a decent night's rest on top of the usual craziness than accompanies her life. She drops down onto a rooftop and then to the ground, following the sounds of screaming. There's a teenage girl who's been locked out of her house this time and there's some sludge she's stuck to. It's trying to swallow her whole.

Re-l grabs the girl by the waist and pulls her out, but she's definitely hurt. Thankfully, it's a few blocks to SPGH and she heads there, dropping her off outside.

She's back on the rooftops in moments, winded and frustrated. How the hell did Bruce do this, night after night?

With a sigh, she keeps moving. She doesn't have the luxury to stop now.]

[ He shadows her all the way to the hospital; half-waiting for the moment he'll have to step in, the moment she'll lose her footing or get side-swiped by some lingering ugly. Only somehow it doesn't come, and the girl gets there safely.

He watches her move away again, halfway past disbelief and into genuine curiosity. She's someone Batman trusted. Someone he relied on.

He chooses the moment and then drops down off a crumbling sill above to land just beside her, with hopefully enough distance to avoid putting her too much on edge. ]

Neat save.

[She doesn't even notice the shadow, too concerned over helping the girl. But as she leaves, she almost feels him pass as he drops down and she turns when he lands. She looks him over.

Different uniform, same 'R'. Robin.]

Thanks. You're not following me, are you?

[ A half-quirked grin. She's a sharp one, alright. ]

Dunno yet.
