[Griffin went through the nightmares of the previous night like everyone else. He had been frightening and new, but he managed to shake them to go about his day ( ... )

Then I'll attack them all. Won't be the first time either.

[It would be the first time in his pajamas and with a blanket as his only defense, but he's glossing right over that.]

I want to go home, but someone keeps following me.

Are you trying to tell me that right now, you're just walking for the sake of it rather than heading back home?

[ A brief, inquisitive tilt of her head. ]

Speaking of which, how can you possibly sleepwalk all the way out here? [ She felt that surge of power, but she isn't going to mention it, lest she risk seeing the squirrel bear its little, pointy teeth any more than it already was. ]

No, I'm going to walk right on home with a stranger elf following me. That's smart.

[He snorts quietly.]

I'm a heavy sleeper.

[ At the mention of 'elf', amusement mildly dances across her lips in a faint smile. ]

So, you can talk big about being able to fend off all the creatures of the Darkness while underdressed, but you're scared of me. Should I be flattered?

[ She doesn't believe that he's simply a heavy sleeper, but she's not going to squabble about that now. ]

And you're not very good at reading people, are you? You can't just assume that a person is an elf because their ears are longer than most.

[Riddick's never seen much greenery in his life, and he happens to like Sector 7 for just that reason. It's different at night, though, everywhere is, and while he stays out there for a long while after sirens, he cuts too close a call with something nasty, and thinks it's time to head back to the almost-familiarity of the city. Almost-familiarity, because he wasn't going to fool himself into thinking he knew everything about this place. Not with all the monsters in the dark, and not with random people just appearing in the middle of streets. Interesting.

He comes to crouch down near the guy, looking amused.]

This happen often?

Fuck off.

[He is NOT in the mood, stranger...

Hey, he knows you. You're that guy. With the voice. And the being annoying. Griffin considers faking an accent just to throw him off the trail, but really, what would be the point? This town is too damn small. You can't hide at all. He figured that out the hard way.]

Why are you even out here?

Taking a walk.

[It wasn't a lie. He hadn't told any since he'd arrived, not yet. It was easier to omit things - his face, his name - until he was sure there was no one in this place that would have any idea who Richard B. Riddick was.]

I think what you're doing out here is more interesting. Or how you got here.

Who says I'm not taking a walk?

[Besides the fact that he was obviously sleeping not that long ago. Bed head, sleeping clothes, and blanket all attest to that. He looks like he just walked out of Peter Pan. If the Peter Pan story had been a lot more violent and surly.]

[Riddick reaches over lazily, plucking up a corner of the blanket, head tilting slightly.]

You normally bring your blankets with you when you go walking?

Bullshit. I'm thinking you were all tucked up in bed five minutes ago. Maybe less.

[Griffin mock winces, raising his hands and taking a step back.]

Do me a favor and just don't think about me in bed, alright?

[He smiles at that, even if it is a really obvious attempt to distract him.]

Don't worry. You're not my type.

Yeah, you're pretty far what I go for. [He glances at the top of the guy's bald head and then smirks.] I like redheads.

I'll grow it out, then. Just for you. [As if he has a drop of ginger in him.]
