[She needed someone from home right about now. Chuck had helped to stabilize her enough to not turn into a sobbing mess, but everything had gotten so bad at once. From Pete to her memories to the EMP. Fred was beat. And Angel was still being Angel. Trying to talk to him was like trying to talk to a brick wall.

So it really fell to Spike. She trusted him. She needed to know if he knew about her memories, knew about the magic. She'd asked Angel, but nothing was ever straightforward with him. And she was going to probably get them removed. But she wanted his opinion.

When she heard the knock, Fred grabbed her jacket before opening the door. She offered a worn, but still genuine smile.]
