It's been a very long time since she walked among the humans, either as unicorn or her human self. She still was unused to this form, still didn't like it. But being that she had to bear with it by day, well.

Mope mope moep.

She was making her way past the stores, bare feet padding along when the silver haired maiden paused, glancing towards Lois. Or rather, the food. What was that smell?

Lingering a second more, she took a slow approach to the woman, clutching her cloak like a lifeline. "What is that smell?"

Mope, mope, mope was Lois for much of September. Being on uneasy terms with--and then basically not speaking to--roommate and incidentally the love of your life could be highly stressful.

But things had gotten better since, which was why Lois smiled up at the new person cheerfully.

(What the hell, silver hair--this place just gets weirder and weirder.)

"That's probably the apple pie," she explained, glancing down. "It's a little different from my favorite at home," no one could ever match Martha Kent's, "but it's the best I've found here yet. I need to remember to take some home."

Yay for things getting better! Amalthea glances up at the sign, and then back to Lois. "This place is one which sells the bounty of the forest in pastries? What is so different about the one you know in your home?"

Yay indeed.

Okay, definitely always weirder. Bounty of the forest? "More or less, yup. And, well, there's different apples, different recipes, different flours--and no two people make them exactly the same way. Xion's pretty good, though."

She's proud of having made the suggestion to the girl, even if it's basically comfort food to remind her of home.

[ Damian always orders to-go. The less time he stays in public, the better. He hates being around large groups of people. They were noisy with their trivialities, and all who spoke to him would look at him with patronizing eyes. As if he needed adults to follow him to a simple cafe.

Quietly, he takes his place at the end of the queue. At the corner of his eye, he can see Lois, but doesn't approach. He's not sure he wants to. It's not her -- she looked like a decent person -- but Damian simply isn't big on unnecessary small-talk. ]

[ Quite unfortunately for Damian, Lois sees him too--and recognizes him from the video feed. And hey, she's chatted with Batkids before, but never really gotten to talk to them in person. When apparently Clark, at least, considers her part of that extended family (and she has no illusions about that like he does, the sweetheart) she rather thinks she should at least talk to them. And she liked this kid.

(Besides, it's been a bad week.)

So she gives him a slight gesture of acknowledgement. ]

Damian, that you?

[ He doesn't move over to where she is. He's in queue, after all. However, she isn't too far away, so he does acknowledge. Time to put up the stupid farce once again. ]

Miss Lane. Good morning.

[Lois will mostly disapprove of the 'stupid farce,' and is driven absolutely insane by it when Bruce pulls it on her.]

'Morning. C'mon over when you've got the goods.

[Her tone makes it an invitation, even if there isn't quite a question mark at the end.]
