But if the chance remains to see those better days, I'd cut the cannons down

Who: caveatwalls and sittingtype
When: The evening of October 6th
Where: Some random warehouse. It's always a warehouse
Summary: Sherlock and John (but mostly the former) make significant progress in the xalyein case and narrow it down to a warehouse in one of the sectors. Surely nothing will go wrong -- right?
Warnings: Possible violence. Will update if necessary!

Sherlock managed to get a tail on this particularly skilled runner after snooping around in the John Carter disguise. The kid had the job primarily due to the fact that most small, low maintenance electronic devices completely shorted out in his presence, so it was nearly impossible to track him the modern way.

Fortunately, Sherlock knew how to get his hands dirty. "Legwork," as his brother would put it. Taking advantage of the shadows and finding other places for John to hide, they'd managed to trace him down all the way to a pharmaceutical warehouse in sector eight. He suspected that the people in charge were lending out space for the drug lords, but now that the drug was under public scrutiny, it was likely that negotiations were getting shaky.

"We may have to go in from above somehow," he murmured, looking the building over once they were left outside.

"Right." John nodded, humming in agreement with his friend as he craned his neck and looked over the warehouse. "Might look a little suspicious, going in through the front door."

"Or any door. It's Darkness proofed, or else monsters would get in and ruin the supply."

Sherlock's hands are soon pressed together as his mind runs on overdrive.

"Luckily, I can get in without opening anything." He looked at John. "I can phase in and get a good look while you look for an alternate entrance. You can message me when you find one."

John wasn't entirely comfortable with the idea of splitting up so soon after arriving, but there didn't seem to be an alternative right now and Sherlock always had the option of using his powers if things started looking hairy in there.

"Okay, I'll uh... head round the back and see if there's another way in." He licked his lips and shot him a look, remembering past experiences with this sort of planning. "Make sure you keep your NV on."
