Who: Lee Chaolan and Kyoji Kasshu When: October 6, sometime within the day Where: Prison! Summary: Lee comes to visit Kyoji to check in with one of his employees... more like ex-employee, really. Warnings: None.
[Kyoji, in contrast, has yet to heal from the intense beating that Domon gave him almost a week previous now. Even if he was mostly made of metal by that point, once he'd passed out the bruises had shown up rather readily. On top of that he was wearing the usual prison garb. He didn't look so much prim and proper as beaten-down.
Once he was directed to the appropriate place to sit by the guards, Kyoji looked up at his employer. He tried to smile, but, it was evident that it was hard facing Lee, after all that happened. His shame was quite clear in his eyes. Kyoji had brought shame to him and his family, again. Shame to his company.]
I have been much better. [A thoughtful pause, and then:] What about yourself?
It's been difficult. [Lee shakes his head, though-- it was imprudent to talk about the state of the company in front of Kyoji.] But nevermind that. I am more concerned with how you are faring. You don't look well at all. Not to mention that I got word on how SERO has tried to strike a deal with you-- am I correct?
It probably has been... [No thanks to him. And Kyoji frowns when Lee tries to change the subject - truth be told he is much more concerned about Violet Systems than himself. He can heal. He can recover, somehow. But maybe not Violet Systems. Maybe this had been the nail in the coffin.]
I've had worse. Believe me, I've had worse. [He lets out a small laugh, then a bit of a cough.] I have had offers from SERO... but I thought it best to postpone speaking with them about bailing me out until I'd at least spoken with you. [And he promised Domon he wouldn't touch SERO with a forty-foot pole. He'd promised.]
