Light was - to be fair - having one of those days. The kind that didn't let up. The Kira device had posted early, while he'd been standing by the kitchen sink washing dishes and watching his uniform dry through the window. The rest of his morning, naturally, was spent leant over his device, moving from video post to audio and back again. And then all at once he'd seized his coat and run out the door, knowing that he was expected, and desperate not to be late.

At the park he hesitated - that strange thrumming in his head again - but he moved inside none the less, taking more care now.

There he was...just sitting there as though he hadn't a care in the world. Light approached with his hands up.

Nagi had his eye on a certain conversation Light was involved in, but he didn't have his NV out at the moment. Monitoring it could wait until after this meeting was done with. His hair stuck out in a few directions as if he hadn't completely brushed it this morning, which he could have fixed with a quick thought if he felt like it. He didn't, and he had a reason for seeming a little sloppier and frazzled although he'd been in far worse situations. This was nothing like avoiding the ones who'd wanted Sally back from lovestruck Farfarello ( ... )

Light frozen on the spot as the wind turned and brushed around him, pushing in as though searching. He held still, admittedly a little more than shocked when his gun took off on its own, flying through the air to land under the bench Nagi sat on.

He held in the frown, waiting, and spoke back in deliberate Japanese as he approached.

"You're very kind to meet me, considering the danger it puts you in, but I trust you know that I came alone? I have nothing against your powers, like I said."

The gun wasn't much of a threat, but there was no need to let Light know that he could stop a bullet with as little effort as he could freeze a person in their tracks. Showing off a bit of his power with the apartment building was enough for now. If he ever had reason to show off more, he'd do more.

"I didn't think you'd bring anyone with," he admitted. This didn't put him in much danger since Light seemed to stick to his word well enough. Nagi briefly wished Schuldig were here to pick through his brain to see the truth, but he reminded himself that said former teammate would only do it if it served his goals and not because Nagi asked nicely. "And I believe you on that point."
