Who: Helen Magnus & Mary Winchester When: September 26th Where: The starter apartments Summary: The best friendships are made in Warnings: Two ladies talking. Who knows.
It had not been quiet. Not by Mary's standards. "Quiet" was a baby sleeping upstairs while a child watched cartoons, with nothing lurking in the dark but everything Mary diligently guarded them against. Quiet wasn't deaths on the Network and monsters flying into her windows at night. If it had been quiet, Mary wouldn't have felt the need to do quite so much shopping that day.
But, alas, life went on. However unwanted in this ridiculous, traumatizing city. On this day Mary found herself rushing at the elevator carrying two paper bags overstuffed with groceries and some new supplies, courtesy of money given to her by Sam (that she accepted guiltily, with the pledge to earn her own).
"It's here," she called from the front door, wondering why on Earth the woman standing there wasn't trying to, you know, actually get in and make sure she didn't miss it.
Helen had had her eyes closed, just momentarily when the lift had arrived. Her thoughts had made her miss the ding announcing it but thankfully for Helen the other woman had alerted her to that. She really needed to pay better attention at the lifts, this wasn't quite the first time that this had happened.
"Thank you." Helen gave her a smile, turning her head to her. "Would you like some help?" The bags were overflowing enough that she was worried that something might drop out - or break.
