[She's pulling up to Daedalus' apartment and parking, giving him a faint smile. She slides out of the car.]

I think Ergo wants to come visit you one of these days. He keeps giving me looks every time you call. He almost seems offended that you haven't invited us over yet.

[But she knows things are still getting settled. It's not a jab at him.]

Mr. Muggles might chase him, though.

He's probably just offended you're speaking to me at all. That cat wants the whole of your attention.

Mr. Muggles is too busy trying to tame the Roomba. And...we're still setting everything up. You can come up and see, if you like- but it's a work-in-progress.

How many other animals have we known so well? [He laughs easily, settling a hand at his hip with a small shrug.] He's clever, I'll give him that.

That's fine. [He motions her along beside him, sliding a keycard at the lobby doors. A blinking digital clock next to the intercom counts down the remaining time till evening siren lockdown. Daedalus leads her inside, using the same card to check mail from a postbox in the front hall] Franz should be home soon.
