[It's been one of those days. It's been one of those days after one of those nights. He hates the small twinge of disappointment that comes when he looks in the mirror and notices one sleepless night was apparently enough to darken the spaces around his eyes again. He hates those wannabe bruises more, though. And when he catches himself zoning out, sitting on the corner of his unmade bed and staring at exactly nothing, he realizes the bitter truth: it is definitely one of those days.

One of those days where he's going to need coffee to get through work.

Trying and failing to fight off a yawn as he approaches Kahve, Terra takes comfort in knowing relief is only a few steps and a handful of munny away. He holds the door open for an older woman before stepping in.

The Keybearer wastes no time heading for the counter. He knows exactly what he what wants.

His train of thought, chugging in circles around the words caramel and coffee, comes to an abrupt stop when his eyes focus on a young, black-haired girl working in the coffeehouse. He ( ... )

[Xion's just polishing some tumblers when the door opens and a customer comes in. She lays her dishcloth aside and then smiles as she recognises the new arrival and steps up to the counter to greet him with a smile.

He looks tired, she notices; his eyes are shadowed and already she's got the biggest coffee cup out and is reaching for the caramel syrup. He certainly looks long overdue for his caramel macchiato and she's going to make darn sure she gets it to him. She still doesn't know quite how to handle herself around Terra, but that will not stop her from greeting him with a smile and the same welcoming enthusiasm she has for every customer, with the added warmth she reserves for her friends.]

Hey Terra! Take a seat, I'll bring your macchiato over. Can I get you something to eat?

[Terra can't help the Great Prince Caught in the Headlights look that comes over his face when the stranger addresses him by name.]

No, that's okay. Just the...

[Macchiato. With the caramel. That she's already making.]

Right.

[His baffled expression sticks as he nods and finds a place to sit. He can't be so tired he didn't hear himself tell her his order. No way. Maybe Roxas mentioned it to her. He is a fairly regular customer, after all. That must be it.

He settles in his chair, watching her over the counter.]

[Xion's steaming the milk, making sure that it's good and frothy for the coffee before she pours the caramel shots into the bottom of the cup. She puts extra in for Terra because she knows how much he likes his caramel, then pours the hot milk over the caramel before finishing it off with spooning the froth on top. Finally, she pours the espresso shots over the milk and froth and reaches for the caramel syrup to decorate the top of his coffee.

She drizzles the syrup on in a spiral, and then finishes by leaving a circle in the middle onto which she draws ☺. Last but not least, she digs into the biscuit tin she keeps behind the counter for the staff and puts a cookie on his saucer beside the coffee cup.

There. All done.

She takes it over with a grin and puts it down for him.]

Here you go.

[And then she looks at him carefully; he looks a little wary.]

Is everything okay?

[Terra blinks down at the face smiling at him in his coffee and the heart-shaped cookie off to the side. What an enthusiastic worker.]

Everything's fine.

[Come to think of it, her voice seems... sort of familiar. Like he's heard it before somewhere. But it doesn't match up with her appearance. He must be imagining things. Terra puts on a small smile and nods, grateful for her quick and cheery service despite his confusion.]

Thanks.
