[Undertaker's invitation had been rejected, naturally, and Ciel had thought (or had hoped) that would've been the last of the matter. Of course, he was entirely wrong about that, but for now he sat in peaceful bliss at the head of the dining table, forking bits of a slice of one of Gilbert's Pies into his mouth. He'd missed the man and his baking tremendously, after all.

Especially his pies.]

[The first little plink of liquid on the chinaware is rather loud in the otherwise quiet room. It comes from above, as naturally, Undertaker is not one to let things go. Certainly not Ciel's attendance to a party. His father would be quite disappointed to know that his son, the young Earl, is rejecting formal invitations and such. And just like the subject, Undertaker is not letting go of the ceiling, as he stares down at the boy, the gravity making his marred face and his eyes visible to the one below as his hair trails toward the ground.

His grin can't get much bigger, and the drool leaking through his lips goes unnoticed by Undertaker, while it drips downward onto the table.]

[Drip, drip, drip - it doesn't go unnoticed for long at all, for as soon as a drip of drool finds its way onto his plate, Ciel's gaze immediately raises toward the ceiling-]

[Work had been uneventful and tiring and irritating, and the Quincy was walking home in quite the mood that afternoon. Conversations with co-workers replayed in his head, most of them consisting of arguments and justifications for why he would not be participating in the designs of their company's new lingerie branch. Uryuu had made it quite clear to them that that particularly lacy ship would be launching without him. It was a position that had earned him no friends, but given the people he worked alongside, Uryuu didn't necessarily count that as a loss.

Of course, it's as he's scowling to himself and lost in thought that the first hints of collected reiatsu catch his attention. Uryuu stops, turns, and stares off towards the grand cemetery gates in the distance. That feeling... there is clearly a large group gathered, and it's just as clearly composed of people with rather bright spirits. (Is it a trick of his senses, or do some of them even feel familiar?) A quick debate follows. To continue home, or to investigate? In the end, the ( ... )

[Mid-afternoon means a round of fresh tea for every pot and replenishing the plates of pastries. They'd gone over fairing well as they were, despite appearances, rather good. Great even. The mortician's quiet hobby has always been baking. Strange how similar chemistry and cooking are.

The sweet little sound of confusion reaches the man's ears and he perks up, grinning in all his glory at the sight of Uryuu, and the feeling of the strangely blue soul. Undertaker is even quite used to blue souls, and a little dribble of saliva gathers at the corner of his mouth at the thought. Did Lee feel like this boy when he was alive? Would little Uryuu linger about his body all gloomy and grim and shimmering blue if his life should be ended prematurely. What a gloriously interesting idea ( ... )

[in the split second between tearing his attention from the lifeless guest and realizing that a strong, strange reiatsu and its even stranger owner has approached him, Uryuu's bag is tugged away and he fumbles to catch and steady the tea cup replacing it without spilling the contents. He manages it, but that's before Undertaker presses close enough for Uryuu to smell the lingering sweetness on the man's breath.

He gives an undignified, startled squawk and fumbles back several steps, the tea sloshing and spilling on the thigh of his slacks. Like a cross to ward away a vampire, the Quincy holds up the tea cup between them.] Don't do that! Who are you? What is this? Why is there a dead man in that chair?! - And give that back!

[he makes a swipe for the bag of cloths. He needs something to blot at the stain before it sets!]

[ William arrives at the party fashionably late. Which would normally be very unlike him, except that this time, he wasn't planning on attending to begin with. The only reason he's shown up is that Grell had gone missing. The two of them had taken up refuge on Raphael's couch after the Seeping Darkness broke in and destroyed a good portion of their apartment. But William woke this morning to an empty space beside him.

It was never a good thing when Grell randomly disappeared. But after the night they'd had...and the loss they'd incurred, William knew he had to find him quickly. So, sensing Grell is near, he wanders into the graveyard...

...and stops short at seeing the messy display of a tea party Undertaker had thrown together. ]

[Aah William. Picture perfect reaper if there ever can be such a thing. Straight-laced with his suit and his reserved little scythe. The one who, day in and day out, does exactly as a reaper should and nothing more. Never straying, always keeping to his duty.

The smile on Undertaker's face doesn't flicker in the least as he manifests on top of the gate post at the entrance of the cemetery, looking down at the man. It's amusing that William doesn't seem to know. It strikes a deep chord of laughter in him as he reaches down from above, fingernails trying hard to snatch those glasses by the arm hooked around the man's ear.]

[ William can sense your soul too, Undertaker. And he is also well aware of your irritating habit of snatching his glasses. So, he makes to adjust them, instead grabbing on to the side and holding them in place. ]

Please leave my glasses where they are, Undertaker.

[Blast. Foiled again. His fingers detour to messing up the man's hair then.]

I haven't the slightest idea what you're talking about, Willy~ heeheheheeee~

[When it comes to Undertaker doing weird things Veser is usually pretty jaded. After all this is the man who spent an earthquake in an oven and spends a disturbing amount of time with dead things. But hiding Veser's clothes, leaving him one unfamiliar outfit to wear and leaving a handwritten invitation attached (complete with a scribbled note on the back that Lee was with him) to it may take the cake.

Around eleven in morning Veser wanders into the cemetery. It was a challenge to get dressed with his arm in a sling, especially with the buttons, so he when he arrives his vest is unbuttoned and his tie undone. He doesn't look entirely comfortable in this new attire and keeps tugging at his collar.]

You know you didn't have to steal my clothes.

[Maya, now and forever, is way too engrossed in eating pastries to really pay attention to her surroundings. But hey, she sticks out, so you may spot her nearby, Veser]

[May spot her? She's so colorful she sticks out like a bleeding thumb. No harm in greeting her and stealing a tea cake.]

Yo, Maya! I didn't know hanging out in graveyards was your kind of thing.

It's not! I got kidnapped.

[Although she doesn't currently seem bothered by this, since the food is so good]
