[Iroh is enjoying a nice relaxing nap when he is awoken by a strange sound coming from the scroll which served as his NV. He opens it up and yawns a bit contendedly, he had a pretty good nap]

Hello! How may I help you?

[He strokes his beard carefully for a moment before replying]

There is little you can do about bad things happening, but you can be prepared for them to happen. Do not concern yourself with events out of your control, but rather focus on what is possible.

[Reim takes that in, and sighs lightly.]

That's true. Perhaps... perhaps I'm just worrying about this too much.

[He smiles encouragingly at him]

There is no shame in worrying, it only means you care. When we are finished the tea would you like to begin the meditation lesson?

That's true.

[A light smile touches his face before he takes another sip of tea.]

Yes, I would appreciate it.

Very good.

[Takes a sip of his tea]

For meditation we will begin by focusing on the breath. It is essential to all living things, but it is often not thought about. Other concerns tend to find their way into your head, and we take breathing for granted. We remind ourselves of its importance as we focus on breathing, and in doing so our own problems are put into a new perspective.

[Reim took another sip of tea as he spoke.]

That sounds easy enough. Is there a certain way someone has to sit to breath properly?

The best way to sit is cross legged, with a straight back. That allows you to take in more air.

I see.

[Reim takes another sip of tea. It's so relaxing to him, it's almost addicting.]

Yes, it is not particularly difficult to learn, but it takes time to gain a mastery of.

[He sips his own tea]

I see you are enjoying the Jasmine tea, it is one of my favourites as well.

Ah, well hopefully I'll get better in time. I expect to meditate a lot, if it works.

[Reim nods.]

I am. It's quite good, and it's helping me relax.

It is something which is good for the body and soul. It is an essential part of most martial arts.

[He grins proudly, because he likes getting complimented on his tea]

Excellent, I have found that often times simply sitting and drinking tea with a friend to be one of the most stress relieving actions one can take.

I see. Then it should do me well.

Ah, yes it is. At least when the conversations are like this. It's very relaxing.

[He smiles and nods, and finishes the remainder of his tea.]

Yes, it is something to do everyday, before sleeping will give the best results.

[He sits calmly and patiently, he didn't believe in rushing someone in drinking or eating anything.]

[Reim finishes his tea only a moment later.]

I imagine that would help someone sleep.

Consistency is important, if it becomes part of your daily schedule it will have a greater impact on your life, just like learning any other skill.

[He sits up slowly and slides the chair back in]

If you are ready to go, we can begin in the living room.
