[he wakes up fifteen minutes later, coaxed by the smell of food and the quiet clicking of chopsticks. Watanuki isn't surprised to see Doumeki there, and he merely sighs, shifting a little, a slight pause in his movements the only sign that he hadn't fully recovered yet. His healing was speedy enough, thanks to the ability and skill of the doctor assigned to him, but thanks to the severity of his injuries it was going to take a while.

his voice sounds a little dry; his throat is parched.]

If you're going to keep on visiting for the rest of the week, you might as well ask the nurses to set up an extra bed for you here. Saves up on the commuting expenses.

[he pauses, and puts the food to the side, reaching for the water on the nightstand and pouring a glass for Watanuki, holding it out to him and waiting until he takes it before settling back in his chair and picking his food up again]

I asked, but they wouldn't do it.

[his voice is matter-of-fact, and he takes another bite of his food - it's not as good as Watanuki's, but it will do - he knows the place, and the cook now]

They tried to make me leave last night.

[he takes the glass, marveling for a moment that he's able to again support its weight now, empties half its contents, and cradles it in his hands before replying]

Granted, it could be part of the hospital's regulations, but we could arrange for something if I tell them you're the one maintaining the ward set up in this room.

[he does keep an eye out to make sure that the boy can handle the cup - but he's sure he can. he just takes another bite from the food he's ordered, just some simple chicken teriyaki, before glancing up at Watanuki again]

I think she doesn't like the wards. She referred to them as 'weird.'

[it's obvious he doesn't think much of this, and his eyes scan automatically to the wards that were set up to protect the boy from the dangers in the hospital]
