Teddy wouldn't consider himself much of a shopper. In fact there were few things he found more annoying then having to go store to store looking for clothes that were decent enough to wear. But his mother had pounded into him the importance of fitting clothes and how to keep from looking sloppy. She hadn't always been around to help him pick out clothes so he had to learn to do it himself. And he figured he was quite good at it by now. And it had seemed that Hope could use all the help he could get.

He showed up a few minutes after twelve and glanced around, hoping he'd be able to recognize him even as an adult. A shifting body in the shade caught his eye and he realized it was Hope. He wasn't kidding about being taller. He walked over and waved, a smile tugging at his lips.

"Wow. You weren't kidding. So, you ready for this? Don't worry if we don't find anything right away. There's got to be at least a dozen clothing stores in here."

Hope looked up at the figure, relief easily apparent even though he finally looked old enough to look as if he shouldn't be as expressive as he was.

"A dozen...?" He might have wilted just a bit at the thought. It was easy enough to entertain himself when he had gone shopping with his mom, but that had mostly been her picking things out while he wandered, and most of the time the shopping had just been done at home and had delivered. Cocoon might have been the capital of commerce, but Hope had never quite cared for shopping so much as spending time on more productive things.

Still, he took only a moment to try and get his spirits back up, pushing away from the wall just a bit clumsily. He had mostly gotten used to basic motor functions again last night, although he still had to catch himself when it came to sudden starts and stops.

"Guess I'm as ready as I'd ever be!"

He laughed when he caught Hope's wilted expression and shook his head.

"I don't mean we're going to go into all of them. Plus, if this mall is like any of the ones in my world a few of those clothes stores will be female wear only." He turned towards the entrance and waved for Hope to follow, but turned to look at him just as his companion pushed away from the wall. He noticed the other boy was a bit shaky in his new form and looked around for something he could use as part of his 'exercises'.

Upon entering the mall he noticed that the floor was decorated in title-like designs made up of straight lines. He turned back to Hope, his expression determined. "Okay, so here's what we're going to do. I want to follow one of those lines in the floor-any one you want-and try to walk a straight line as if you were on a tightrope. It's a little extreme but think of it this way, if you want walk a straight line you should have no trouble with normal walking."

"Straight line?" He could do that, he was pretty sure. His balance was alright, it had always just been tripping over things because he hadn't been paying attention and over or underestimated the distance. And possibly a few times when he tripped over himself.

He looked down at the lines on the ground, then back up again with wide eyes. "Wouldn't that be strange, though? I mean, people don't really walk in a straight line-- just normally."

At least, he had never seen people walk like that. Maybe kids when they were walking on poles or fences, but that had been because they were walking on such narrow areas.
