[ Helen was used to dangers, even dangers of this sort although here they seemed to be a little more widespread. She'd been tending to the kittens, mostly adjusting their blanket and checking on their temperature and breathing when she heard the noise

That alone made her reach for her gun, aiming it in the direction of where it came from. The semi-familiar voice did little to reassure her or make her lower her weapon ]

I don't appreciate people entering my home. [ Even if he was only on the windowsill. He had opened it. And this was not what she meant when she invited him to pick up his kittens ]

[Entirely at ease, he stayed perched on the outside of the windowsill, back resting against the outer bricks. As if a gun would frighten him.]

I haven't entered anything. May I come in?

[A slight pause as he looks the gun over. Just a tranquiliser pistol. Nothing to harm him. Carelessly, he swings his legs around to set foot on the ground, not waiting for her response.]

[ She didn't expect fear but it was her instinct - at least she'd be protected... partially ]

Your presumption to sit on my window ledge is enough.

[ And then to come inside, but she lowers the gun anyway ]

[ As friendly as she still is there's some displeasure at his actions ]
