A bar is a bar is a bar. Tom wasn't usually so far away from his shitty corner of Sector 4 but, oh who knows. Tonight he'd fancied a different set of walls from his usual boozer. He was only just out of prison a few weeks and pretty sure that the media hype around his troubles in February was still buzzing, he preferred to keep himself under the radar. It was, after all, the best advice his shrinks could give.

He slinks in, head down, and cozies up to the far stool of the bar - waiting patiently for the first staff person to come back from their rounds. It's pretty busy. He likes that. Less chance he'll be noticed right off the bat as the crazy guy from the newspaper.

Doubly lucky that Ella was so distracted with those other thoughts that she also didn't recognize Tom - and probably wouldn't unless she was reminded of that incident. Spying the man sitting at the bar, she handed the pitcher off to another server and made her way to her spot.

Technically she was still new at the mixing drinks thing - Tifa was teaching her, but... hopefully Tom didn't ask for anything complicated. "Hey," she smiled in Tom's direction, "What can I get you tonight?"

"Canadian Club," He asked with a polite smile, but barely met her eye. "A double, please."

Easy enough. Truth be told, Tom didn't really care what he was drinking. But Club was cheap and there was always enough to last the night. The fact it didn't taste like complete shit didn't hurt, either.

"Sure thing." She was relieved it was a simple drink. Whoever he was, he looked troubled. One drink was readied and set in front of Tom, and as she prepared a second, she tilted her head curiously.

"Is everything all right?"

[Eric has been meaning to go to Merlotte's again for a while now. It's sad that the place has been renamed. Sector Zero--it has no personality at all, no warmth, even if it hasn't changes much inside.

He finds a place at the bar and smiles benignly at the waitstaff and wonders which of Merlotte's employees or paying guests he should snack on tonight.

Of course he ought to be watching Edgeworth but... Sam didn't make it sound like he had to be there every night. Too bad for Edgeworth--that was a hunt for another night.]

[ She wasn't sure of the reason for the name change, but as long as it remained neutral, she had no complaints. A name was just a name, after all. Catching sight of Eric, Ella returned the smile and made her way towards him. ]

Evening sir; is there something I can get you tonight?

[ She was thoughtful a moment, and slid the menu out from under her arm. ]

How about the evening special? It's chock full of meaty goodness.

Rose had been told to pop into Sector Zero any time for hostess training. There were a few problems with this plan. One, she had no idea who Tifa was. Two, getting a job on some mystery island wasn't Rose's cup of tea. She needed money, though, and Sector Zero had been the first place to offer.

The blonde stepped into the establishment. Honestly, she was more nervous about her attire than anything. Jeans and a purple leather jacket weren't job interview material, but they were all she had.

Mistaking the busy brunette for Tifa, Rose called out, "Excuse me?" She looked around, hoping for a conversation. Just standing here was awkward...

It probably wasn't a lot of people's cup of tea - Ella included. The purple leather jacket was the first thing to catch Ella's eye, followed by the girl calling out to her.

Ella smiled, adjusting her course to pad over towards Rose, "Yes, welcome to Sector Zero. How can I help you?"

"'ello, um-"

Rose took a quick breath. She wasn't the nervous type- just resistant. A job was a job, though, and if she wanted one, she had to act it.

"S'your name Tifa? I was told t' meet 'er. You're lookin' for a hostess?"

Ella waited patiently - whether Rose was nervous or not, she wasn't going to rush whatever she needed to say. Not unless she looked like she needed prodding anyway, which she clearly didn't.

"OH, no, sorry," Ella smiled, "Tifa's not here at the moment, But I'm ... assistant manager." Well, part time, but Rose needn't know that yet, right? It was hardly important. She motioned for the girl to follow her, so she could move to a less crowded part of the restaurant. "You're right, we are looking to hire. Do you have any experience as a hostess?"
