Who: Ishida Uryuu, surgicalshot & omnomspecimens When: Monday afternoon Where: SPGH Summary: Uryuu takes a gamble on Tenma's abilities to get rid of the chip in his skull. He loses his bet. Warnings: PG-13 to start --
[Looks up and puts his files away. He'd been expecting him; not knowing who he really was, but they had agreed on a set time, and it could only be one person.]
Please, have a seat. I'm Doctor Tenma, it's nice to finally meet you.
Uryuu knows that doesn't really mean much - but still, it gives him pause for a moment. Finally he nods and adjusts his glasses, taking the offered seat.]
I know. I'm Ishida Uryuu. ...Your anonymous patient, as I'm sure you've guessed.
[an awkward pause. He glances at the door.] Do you have an appointment scheduled after mine?
Stop! [sparks bridge the air between Tenma's hand and Uryuu's body, crackling through both with a scolding pain. Uryuu sucks in a quick, shallow breath and immediately reaches for the doctor's arm and pulls it back. The moment the needle tip leaves his arm, the shock stops. The Quincy catches his breath, staring down at his own veins with wide eyes. They hadn't done anything. Tenma hadn't even been able to depress the plunger on the sedative to put him under for surgery - he'd only just put in the needle. What was that?] I don't know - [what that was, what triggered it, what it means] Something's wrong. Are you all right?
[Neither could possibly realize the more important problem, the one already out of their control: Szayel has been signaled.]
[Tenma jerked back, fingers slipping for a moment before he gripped the needle tightly, making sure not to drop anything. But that had been painful. Not what he had expected at all.]
Yes...Yes, I'm fine. What about you? [Looks at him in concern.]
Fine. [no he's not. His mind is racing in a terrified lack of understanding.]
...You're sure the needle is normal? It couldn't - be something a colleague misplaced? I understand the hospitals here cater to people with strange physiology. [and so - what, they'd have an electrified needle? Yes, Uryuu, that makes perfect sense.]

[He shakes his head.]
No, I don't. Most of my appointments are on Tuesday and Thursday when I have office hours.
[He leans forward, hands laced together on the desk.]
Well, now that you're here, if you could explain what is going on a little more?
