[ ... Now that's unexpected. Not that Bruce isn't used to working in the pure darkness (Gotham tends to not have many lights in the alleys, and not even Bruce Wayne's money can pave every single feet of Gotham, especially in the slums where Batman works most). He just- closes his eyes, stop relying on them, and listens in closely to the sounds of the monsters as they move.

But there's a bigger problem. Her fear is attracting the monsters. Even more than his presence is (he's killed a lot of them, and they hate him for it). ]

Anna Milton. [ A sharp warning. ] Calm down.

[ There's quite a few congregating around her. A mutated one, to her left- that's the closest. Bruce leaps into action, the batarang in his hand flying towards the throat, then his leg is kicking out against the ribs. Another, behind her- too close. ]

Move.

[ And with that, he's jumping in, pushing her out of the way before the rope-faced dog can throw its rope around her neck. He slams into it bodily, pushing it into the wall, and it howls sharply in the air, and

[ No, he's not. He better- and he has an arm around her waist. ]

Lock your arms around my neck.

[ And he's jumping down from the building, one hand out- sdhooting the grapple line out to a nearby bulding- grasping the gun tighter as he swings in the air. Shakes it loose- freefall- and then he hooks the claw into another rooftop.

When they land, it's only a couple of feet away from her apartment building. They haven't touched the ground even once.

He hopes that she's not dizzy. ]

You're here. [ Pause. ] Go.

[Not as teeny-bopper at least. And okay fine, arms around his neck again, with just as much face hiding as the last time. Somehow, the free fall drops just.. freak her out more. Like some mild case of PTSD that she can't explain.

But then they're on the ground again and she's .. Yeah she's kind of dizzy. A little disoriented from having her eyes closed so long. She's only seconds away from darting to the door, but turns to him at the last second. She still hasn't quite let go yet, but.]

Is.. your arm gonna be okay? [Yeah she'd noticed that. :|]

[ He has almost forgotten about the wound on his arm. It's really nothing, and he hasn't gotten infections from injuries from Darkness monsters yet. Looking at it for a moment, he turns back to her. ]

It's fine.

[ There are still howls of the monsters here, and overhead, a flying one goes past. Bruce turns and looks at her, gaze sharp. ]

Go.

[The sound alone is enough to jerk her into movement, and this time she's at the door with key in the hole in a matter of seconds. Glancing back through the door window once she's in... Will probably wield nothing but empty space.]
