Godot's Room beenwaitinglong April 2 2011, 19:21:47 UTC
Godot didn't sleep much the night before, between the clowns and his nerves that he swore were so jumpy they might actually peel themselves out of his body. The most exciting ambulance ride in the history of ambulances was no help settling him down either, and as he lay in his new room at SPGH, an hour before surgery prep, he had his eyes closed but there was no illusion that he was relaxed or calm.

He gave off the impression that were he able to, he would be pacing around the room.

Phoenix came to visit as soon as he'd arrived at the hospital, warned by the frustrated nurse to get out the way and that the prep would start soon. The clowns were clearly causing a ruckus - as Phoenix head for Godot's new room something crashed just out of sight, and several greenhaired patrons came rushing past, clearly delighted with their mischief.

Somehow he was beginning to regret his words to Edgeworth the other day...

Trying not to draw too much attention to himself, Phoenix slipped quietly into Godot's room.

"Mind if I come in?"

At the sound of an unexpected voice, Godot nearly jumped out of his bed. The clowns roaming the hallways did nothing to ease his worries, as it turned out. One of them had already been hit in the face for his attempt.

"No," he muttered, possibly the most shortspoken Wright had ever seen him.

Phoenix's side of the curtains~ lawyerific April 5 2011, 10:00:35 UTC
Phoenix was so relieved to wake up after the operation, and even after spending ten minutes alone thinking about it, he still didn't feel anything...missing. The doctors told him that he wouldn't be able to get up for a while, should he split his stitching, and he at least believed them when he sat up, the wide wound on his side more than telling.

Had Godot pulled through? Was anyone going to come and tell him? He was in a recovery room, he knew, on a very comfortable bed and seperated off from the rest of the room by a pair of curtains. For all he knew Godot could still be in theatre, but he could be just on the other side of the curtain.

Nothing he could do about it until someone showed up, though, right? And while he was dozing off the rest of the drugs, he didn't really mind.

Maya had been by his side even before he woke up (ducking her way through doctors and nurses to make it to his side of the curtains) and was waiting, quietly, by his side.

Her eyes were a little red (but she hadn't been crying. Nope. Not at all. Not one little bit), but she smiled a little faintly when he noticed her.

"You look a little green, Nick."

"I...feel a little green. They've not planted any tentacles or extra eyes on me too, have they? Urr..."

He certainly felt like an alien, rather than a human being. He felt numb, sore all over but particularly at his side, a little like his entire body was one big bruise. Sitting up didn't seem likely--if at all possible.

"Hey. Maya. Godot's alright, isn't he?" The tears were a little scary, actually.
