[He grins once he spots Sirius, and waves back at him.]

Sirius!

[Eagerly (too eager, really, but Merlin's lonely here) he moves to cross the street-- and jumps back, face paling, as a car honks at him, swerving to dodge him.

He waits a moment before trying to cross again, and looks a bit shaky when he reaches Sirius-- but still cheerful!]

Right. Ready?

[He grins back at Merlin, pleased.]

'Course I am, I've been waiting for you, haven't I. C'mon, there's a shop over this way--

[But he doesn't walk very quickly, preferring to take advantage of this time.]

Still getting used to it, eh? Cars, and all, I mean.

I'm more used to horses-- but I rather prefer cars, as there's no stables to clean out. And they can't bite you-- or at least, I think they can't.
