The moon didn't affect her quite like it did wolves, but even Unicorn found herself entranced by the moon that night. So rare were the evenings when the darkness creatures were still, that she took the opportunity to run.

As always her charge was with her, though she could not run to her full speed, or she would leave him behind - and she did not wish to leave him to the mercilessness of the city, due to her own selfishness.

Even that creature was affected by the moon's pull, however, more docile than usual. As for Unicorn, she and her companion would no doubt run into the coyote-girl in a moment - or vice versa. Unicorn stopped once she reached a small clearing where she could view the moon more clearly, still as stone, gazing up at the orb in the sky. Watching, waiting, listening for anything approaching.

Mercy smelled Unicorn before she saw her. Stopping for a moment, she swiveled her ears forward, staring at the spider. She didn't like that thing at all. It made her sneeze.

She took a couple of cautious steps forward again and then stood up on two feet. It was cold, but she'd been running hard and was panting. "Good evening, Lady."

Unicorn turned her head as Mercy's came into view, out of breath. The spider-dog didn't seem to care for her either, so the feeling was mutual - but it made none of the usual aggressive snarling, and simply lay in front of the Unicorn contentedly.

The silver unicorn bowed her head in greeting to Mercy, "Good evening, maiden. Do you oft run in the night, or is it the moon that calls to you?"

Mercy crouched down out of the way, preserving her body heat and smiled. "Normally, the moon doesn't effect me. Tonight... I felt the call." Which was unusual but it was an unusual moon.

"I do run sometimes at night, though. How are you faring?" Mercy knew better than to approach the Unicorn. That was just rude.
