[Re-l arrives just after five, already unbuckling her coat a little as she's met with the warm air of the cafe. She looks around and smiles at Didi for a moment just before she catches sight of the prosecutor. She brushes her hair over her shoulder and heads over to his table.]

Afternoon. How are you?

Maybe you need a PSA of the week like Sam.

Not a bad idea. [Siiiip.]

Of course, knowing me, it'd turn into weekly coffee talk and everybody would disregard it immediately.

Everyone ignores everything that has a point these days unless it's shouted out in layman's terms in black and white. People in this city have attention spans of gnats, sometimes.

So I've noticed. [He finishes off his first coffee, then sets the empty mug aside and goes for his second.]

Same as it always is, though. That's modern society for you.

It's rather pathetic. [She raises her mug to her lips again, savoring the hot liquid on her throat.]

Of course, there's people who babble just to hear themselves talk, too.

Ha...! Well now, I wouldn't know anything about those types. [He says, with a knowing grin on.]

[She smiles briefly from around her mug.]

Of course not. But really, I was speaking about a few on the network.

Yes. I think I know who you might be referring to.

[Siiiip. He puts his mug down from his face a bit.]

People react to situations differently, I suppose. Some land on their feet and others on their faces. Some try to contribute as best they can, and some shut down in the face of pressure.

[She chuckles, nodding. She takes another sip of her drink before setting it down.]

I'm always very impressed with the people who can hit the ground running here. It's only a select few, but still. And at least most people in the city are interesting enough to listen to.

Yeah. And I'm not easily impressed.

Anyone stand out to you the most? Rochelle, maybe?

[beenwaitinglong]

[He nods.] I like her. She's got a good head on her shoulders.

[Siiiip.] I can't say the same about Black and Kelly, but they remind me of somebody I know. Call me a softie.

[She smiles a little fondly.]

They're good guys. Sirius and I have been getting along pretty well and he has the right idea even if he's a little hotheaded at times.

Like I said, he reminds me a lot of a younger guy I used to know.

Nice of them to stay out of trouble recently, too.

[Actually, they haven't, but she doesn't know if she should fill him in on that yet.]
