;__; i'm SOSO sorry! torporheart March 16 2010, 23:53:17 UTC
For him, the last few days or so had been rough. That must have been evident with him very seriously considering selling himself if it meant the chance to free Yoite from jail. Perhaps, if Miharu was better at dealing with heartache he would have put more effort into thinking of something a lot less self-destructive. It was extremely likely, from an outside perspective, that he was overreacting. Maybe he was, but it hadn't even struck him. The idea of it. That he was, in all actuality, too dependent and clingy and small and afraid ( ... )

And here he was, heralded by the gentle tinkle of the bell hooked on the shop's white door. Miharu looked even less lively than he was on the video, either by the virtue of different lighting or by seeing his body language and posture in full. Or the sight of how his clothes just hung from that small, fragile frame.

His appearance was as honest as his reactions. Such a poor innocent child.

Nii leaned back, perching his elbow on the seat's comfortable backrest, and raised a hand. The bunny-designed band-aids stood out from where they were wrapped on his index and middle fingers, just under the second knuckle.

"Yo."

EVEN LATER. what now. ;o; & pssht, tag length isn't something i'm concerned with torporheart April 7 2010, 04:14:29 UTC
The hand is spotted first, and even as that 'yo' is being spoken, Miharu is making his way over. He doesn't grab the top of the chair across the table from Nii to pull it out. Instead, he hooks one of his heels to the leg and tugs it back before dropping very abruptly.

There's an itch of habit to slump, slouch, and unintentionally present his age, but he finds himself sitting on the edge. If he could muster the will, he might have sat straight, but now, he sits just very lightly bent forward.

"Hello," he says, somewhat quickly as if small talk isn't something that matters to him. In all honesty, it isn't. "Thank you for meeting with me," also, somewhat quick, but his eyes are traveling to the bunny print band-aids. Curious thought manages to push through all the Yoite-driven thinking. If Nii's a father, if Miharu's own father wore childish looking bandaids if he cut his fingers. All this is, of course, is irrelevant and wide, tired eyes dart back to Nii's face.

Shy, tired, insecure and, most of all, utterly vulnerable. Nii propped his chin up on the heel of his hand and leaned forward, bracing his elbow on the table to keep his head up, his smile widening when he sees that curious gaze stray to his band-aids. To complete the image, he waggled his fingers.

"Do you like them? The last nurse I talked to was hysterical when she saw what I replaced the brown kind with. Almost like she didn't have them enough when she was a kid." He chuckled softly, a pause to measure the effect of those words, the lamp light glinting off his glasses. "And don't thank me. It's all in a day's work."
