[Of course, things are never that easy.

And calling things easy when you're expecting and trying to face a serial killer is something.

It was understood and normal that things were out in the darkness, but it was always a little surprising when they followed you. Like when you watch a horror movie and say 'I wouldn't do that.' or you think it's so obvious the character could practically hear the horror strings, telling something was coming, but then you still jump and linger when things bump in the night.

Either way, this one seemed intent on tracking him. It hung back against a wall, staring with glowing red eyes at Claudio, surprisingly bright. Otherwise, the monster seemed to be mostly hidden by the dark.]

[Where did one look for a mass murderer? He kept his ears open for his NetVice. There was a young boy murdered. He knew that monster was out there somewhere. He knew he was lose on the city. Maybe he had killed Jinx and no one knew. What if he was alone again? That they went home and didn't return ( ... )

[The monster didn't move. It didn't seem to have any inclination to do anything for the moment. Just stare, looking right at Claudio.

It was recognizable, looking like the boy when his powers were activated or fairly close, skin green gray and pale, the colors and light around the figure drained out of the area nearest to it, like someone had taken water to a painting. It was dressed as he had been before he died, it held his form as if he'd never been ripped apart.

But the problem was in the details, and all of them were wrong. It didn't blink, it didn't breathe, just stared. Relaxed in a way that the person never had been, it's hands at it's sides and with it's back braced against the brick, it waited.

It didn't move.]

[Taking three more steps out to the street he turned more, almost startled by the red eyes that were staring at him. Startled to the point that he almost dropped backwards.] Geeze! Fuck... you're a dark one... [He mumbled to himself, glad to be invisible at the moment. His mouth closed a moment after he said that, eyes squinting.]

[It cant see him. He is invisible. It can't see-- it... it looked a lot like... Oh hell no... he thought as he found himself dumbly taking a few steps forward.] Trauma?

[He kept out of reach though, because though it looked like him it looked all wrong too, and he was in freaky power mode. And... and he was dead. And...]

[And fuck, the body must have disappeared. He realized...]
