[Phoenix keeps the patting up, but only because he's not really sure what else to do with his hands. This is all so sudden.]

Well... [If only words would come a little easier. It's not like I haven't stalled before.] You may not think so right now, but things always get better. And maybe he'll come back. You never know, right?

[He stops abruptly. Oh, he had not thought of that. If Jarvis returns, will he be completely whole? Remember everything? That is not the sort of thought that he wishes to humor. His little pet knows of one of the friends he has that no one else knows of -- the promise that he made to keep the friendship secret and treat said friend in disdain while in public.

Oh dear, oh dear.]

Really? That would be so wonderful if he returned.

[The crying stops so suddenly that Phoenix does take his hand away, moving it to the edge of the chair beside Yaha's head.]

It doesn't happen to everyone, but if E-- [He too, stops suddenly.] We all have friends we'd like back; I can't imagine how much more you must miss a lover.

We were only lovers for a month.

[Yaha explains, turning his head so that he may look up at Phoenix. Smiling softly, his eyes red because of how he has affected them earlier before entering the room. Has to look upset to everyone, even if they don't believe he had nothing to do with his pet's death, he likes the game too much to let it end.]

He grew upset when someone truly dear was returned to me. It brought about a fight and he left.

[Not a lie. Shinji returned first before Urick. And he did leave well before the siren's call. Almost seven hours prior.]

It doesn't mean I didn't have great affection for him, though.

[He looks like he's been crying, which is a lot more than he could have ever said about Dahlia--she'd always looked perfect, even after tears.]

No, of course. At least if he came back you'd be able to...make up. You don't want an argument to be the last thing you remember of someone.
