Professor Xavier. Possibly the only man she might consider father beyond Logan. She wanted to scream at him, to rant, to bitch and tell him exactly what Scott had done - and right after she'd been crucified, dammit!

Instead, she pushed her way out of the house and had to stop herself from bursting into tears. He was real. Really, really real.

He was the Professor and she wasn't alone with Magneto anymore. As much as she knew the pair fought, Magneto might listen to the Professor before he went all megalomaniac and tried to take over the city.

... MIGHT.

So, she flung herself down the porch as soon as the wheels to the chair touched down and practically flew into his lap. Her arms slid around his neck and she buried her nose in his shoulder. "Hi Professor."

As expected, Jubilee was the first to greet him, though he had not entirely anticipated the intensity of her affection. Admittedly, it made him blush and warmed his heart about a thousand degrees until it threatened to melt out of his chest. He happily accepted the affection and returned it with a tight embrace and a rare but honest kiss at the top of her hair. His voice faltered as it came out, quieter than he'd expected, "Hello Jubilation. I am very glad to see you."

As if that even began to accurately describe the comfort he felt of seeing her.

Doug wasn't nearly as dramatic. He followed Jubilee out the front door but remained a good few feet away with his hands clasped loosely behind his back. He was at once reminded of a similar scene - his old teammates rushing into the Professor's open arms as he stood on the balcony and observed, reading their movements and plotting the best ways to take them all out...

This situation was something different entirely. He had the right, if he wanted, to do the same as the young woman before him. It was his opportunity to take advantage of what he'd missed out on before. Yet he found himself unable to step forward. He wasn't quite the same boy the professor would remember, and for the first time since his arrival here he felt uncomfortable with someone realizing that.

"Hello, Professor," he greeted softly all the same.

Though it was slightly more challenging with the girl clinging to him on his lap, he wheeled himself to Doug - who strangely seemed to him very 'grown up' and paused for a moment. Eventually he smiled, and extended the hand of his free arm.

He nodded his head, "Douglas. You do look well."
