Okay, most people might have questioned the wisdom of going off with someone they just met. After all, Gohan, like most kids, had gotten lectures on strangers when he was younger, but . . . how else was he supposed to get to know people? Rinoa certainly seemed nice enough. If she turned out not to be ( ... )

The bow got Rinoa to blink and tilt her head, then a moment later she tried to mimic it because it obviously was something he was familiar with. "Hello. And sure, I wanted to come by."

She then put away her NV and pulled out the bag that contained the tub of ice cream. Once it was out of the bag, she held it out toward him. "Here... you can carry this, okay?" For now she left the other things in her bag and turned her head to glance over her shoulder. "If you want we can stay down here... or go up to your room?"

Back home, bowing was the polite way to greet someone. And his mother had taught him to always be polite; it never occurred to him that others might find it strange.

He couldn't help the smile that came to his face when she produced the tub of ice cream. Though it wasn't visible to outside eyes, he was very careful when he took hold of it, lest he crush it otherwise. He was good at maintaining the Super Saiyan state, but he still occasionally misjudged his strength. And ice cream -- or any kind of food -- was a terrible thing to waste.

"Ah . . ." He glanced around the lobby for a second. It wasn't packed, but there were still a few people around, and that was only going to make him more self-conscious than he already was; how people managed to live in cities was a mystery to him. "I think I'd be more comfortable up in the apartment." He motioned with one hand for her to follow before he started moving. "This way. It's only three floors up."

It wasn't a greeting she had never seen, but just one that she wasn't used to. Especially from something that was younger than her. Now if he saluted her... that may have been too strange for her to not over look, but as it is, Gohan just seems like a very well behaved kid.

The extra care he took in handling the ice cream didn't seem to be picked up by her, and just hoisted the strap of her backpack over a shoulder before she followed after him with a nod.

She waited until they get to the stairs before she starts off with her questioning. "Have you still not heard anything from anyone that you know?"
