Bayonetta, being fortunate enough to experience the luxury that most newcomers do ( -- Now, honestly, a fat wad of cash in one hand, a little apartment in the other. Why, she could have just made herself at home.) the witch had also being subjected to being apathetic. Concerning the organizations, that is: they did not bother her, she did not bother them. Still the idea of being a prisoner in the most uncreative fantasy land of Canada was not her idea of a perfect picnic.

Still, no doubt the witch had found her new favorite little place in sector eight that was a perfect little workout for her. Now, the chemical oxygen was in no way related to the lava she had experienced in Europe, and the people were barely everything else but angles, she still took pride in turning heads either with her sultry movements or her absolutely ridiculous appearance ( ... )

His vision could pick up heat signatures if activated, though he was hardly expecting someone invisible to slide up next to him, much less talk to him so close - there was the start of a shudder before he instantly turned in her direction, his arm forming a blade and slicing horizontally, aiming to hit whatever the fuck had just done that. Instinct, really, he might regret hurting something (or someone), but--

Alex was still afterward, waiting for whatever it was to reveal itself, a glare upon his features as per usual.

Of course Bayonetta wasn’t completely immune to gazes that others may have passed under certain circumstances. A reflection in a mirror could instantly make her visible, and surely Alex’s vision was no different. When the virus had coiled around the other’s arm to appear as a very familiar blade, Bayonetta quickly lowered herself, almost avoiding getting cut -- almost -- save for a few threads of hair that were detached and fell to the cement ground.

Still, Bayonetta only became visible after she leaned in, exhaling a faux-insulted breath against his flesh, and retreated to stand back-to-back with him.

In that moment of visibility Alex saw who it was; that woman he'd fought not long ago, and she'd put up quite a fight. His blade still out, blinking as she exhaled on him and then froze where he was. Feeling her at his back. This time he didn't swing at her blindly - no, he'd take her offguard. If he had to.

Without moving, he spoke roughly - "The hell do you want." Her behavior was strange, acting aggressively and as if she wanted to inflict some serious damage, yet almost... playful. Nothing else trying to kill him had been that flippant about it.
