Who: goldilocked and beatrolliche When: December 22 Where: ALL OVER SECTOR 4 Summary: Jack takes Beato out on a date. AT LEAST HE PLANS TO aaahhhh Warnings: None yet oh god
It hadn't exactly been an easy past few days. She'd run into Battler when she'd been questing for ice cream and that hadn't exactly gone extremely well. It had been upsetting, infuriating and a whole other bunch of 'ings' she didn't feel like listing. Needless to say, Jack Vessalius' call had been a breath of fresh air. Beatrice wasn't going to lie to herself - she'd been bored, even though the mistletoe mayhem had been priceless and also a little lonely too. She was happy Battler was back. She wouldn't deny that either
( ... )
Oh my goodness, she was so adorable when she blushed. Jack only squeezed her hand and tried his very best not to blush (he did, he's blaming it on the weather damn it), smile remaining on his face.
"I won't disappoint," he promised, coming to a stop at an intersection. "Well, the theatre's over there," he pointed out. It's a bit old, crumbling and patched with bricks in some places, but the sign is already bright against the early sunset. "I guess you already know that fairytale, hm?"
"Well enough." She cooed, taking in the sights surrounding her. The city seemed different somehow walking through it with another. There was a pause as the two waited at the intersection and she let her eyes wander.
"Perhaps they'll put their own spin on it. Twists are always enjoyable when they're done right."
But there wasn't time to muse on anything particular for soon enough she found herself being dragged forward across the road.
"Ah-!"
It was funny really. If he'd told her exactly where to go, she could have them there in an instant. But this was nice - being able to walk hand in hand with someone and simply see things. It was nice to be taken places and for that, Beatrice didn't mind walking.
It wasn't something she could avoid. When Jack reaches to fix the rose in her hair and compliments it down it brings a slight pink tinge to her cheeks. Embarrassing really, but nice none the less.
"I don't usually since it's a pain. I'm sure you understand. Yours seems just as long if not longer."
And into the theater they went, her eyes growing slightly large at the sight. She couldn't hide it; Beatrice was excited.
The lobby lights would be warm; the chatter quiet but lively. There's red velvet curtains to the side, gold gilded on the tables, and Jack led her to the ticket counter.
"I've only managed to acquire mid-row seats, would that be all right?"
It was more than all right, it was fine, really. Beatrice wasn't used to being spoiled at all, even though her outward demeanour would try to prove otherwise. A bit of a nod was there as she scanned the place, taking in every little detail, every sight and sound.

The light flashed orange - then red, and Jack suddenly tugged at her to run across the pedestrian lane, braid and coat flying behind him.
"Come on!"

"You should let your hair down more often, my lady," he murmured, smiling. "It looks beautiful in the wind."
And then he's urging her towards the warmth of the theatre, hand still holding hers tight.
