Who: Allen Walker and Xerxes Break. When: Backdated to December 8th. Where: General Skye Hospital. Summary: A threat to visit acted on. We'll see how this goes. Warnings: ... Uh. Break.
"Please tell me, that while I was in my wonderfully drug induced state of slumber, that Emily was given a sex change? And that sweet little concerned voice, doesn't belong to the boy who's oh so good at planning funerals?"
The voice came from underneath the bed, not on top of it. The sheets and pillows still in place, bed made and looked to be untouched. If it wasn't for the hand that felt around for the box of grapes someone had kindly left out for him, Break's whereabouts might have been a mystery in that room still.
He wasn't expecting visitors, he'd sent Gilbert away and told the nurses not to allow any more anonymous flowers- the candy he didn't mind too much, but that's only because he couldn't eat the flowers.
There were some things Allen had long learned to just not reply or take particular note to. Usually this applied to things Lavi said, but it seemed as if he'd have to start applying the same rule of thumb to Break.
... That was unfortunate.
Nonetheless, the words did make him enter the room formally - he was sure now that the other would never invite him in - and while he blinked at the hand under the bed, the only thing he said was: "Did the nurses say it was alright for you to be off of the bed, sir?"
Sorry! I'm lagging so much cause of the holidays >_<break_xerxesDecember 23 2010, 02:55:38 UTC
Well, if that was the attitude Allen had, he was going to get on spiffingly with Break. For it was those few, that never realized its better to ignore some of the nonsense that leaves his lips, that Break had the upper hand on.
"Did I say it was alright for you to talk back, Emily~ "
Chuckling from below the bed. Break snaked that hand and arm back under the bed, hiding in the shadows down there for a moment before he tracked where Allen was using his voice, and with some effort and much skill, there was Break! Right behind Allen, pushing the drugs cabinet open and stepping out, a jar of some strong medication in his hand.
It's good! I'm lagging just as bad. D:payingthepiperDecember 24 2010, 20:48:18 UTC
"It was more of question than any doubt, really..." A-ha. But, really, he was edging toward the bed when the arm retracted with a laugh (he was eerily reminded of a mix between Rhode and Cross, but that thought was disturbing enough that he immediately forced himself to forget it), and then --
Okay, he jumped. Well, his shoulders did, tensing up as if Break was some scary ghost rather than... a white-haired man with a jar in his hand.
Allen kept any frazzled tone out of his voice, but he also spun about and dropped his voice a little (cautious, are you serious and what in the world--), eying the jar first off (because, really: what in the world?); "Is that... your medicine?"
