[OOC: Okay hi, so apparently Apollo would have told him the office day after it happened, so this is Phoenix coming even though you don't want him to. He didn't stop to buy sweets or anything, so that's just too bad.

[But that doesn't alter Phoenix's expression as he closes the door, already eyes fixed on her; fear and concern and panic all fighting for room on his face.]

Oh god, Maya... I didn't know. I didn't know what had happened, and nobody knew to tell me. I lost my NV, and then Apollo asked me if I was planning on coming to see you and... Oh, Maya! I'm such a klutz. If only I hadn't lost it I might have been there. I could have stopped this!

[Despite herself, Yoruichi has been a little worried for the girl -- "Maya," according to the staff; she'd never gotten her name before. An attack from an Espada isn't something an ordinary human could recover from very easily. She pokes her head into the room and knocks lightly on the doorframe out of a belated sense of politeness. When she speaks, her voice is soft and fond.]

[She tries for a smile, though it falls a bit short]

[She walks across the room in a smooth stride, taking a seat in the chair next to the bed and chuckles quietly at the assurance.] That's more than most people would be able to say after a run-in with that bastard.
