It wasn't the first day Ocelot had followed Snake outside the warehouse. But it would be the first he'd show himself.

"SNAKE," he called, frowning down at the spectacle from his position on a fire escape ledge. A couple monsters were already attempting to scale the wall up towards him, but it was clear at a glance that Snake had worse problems.

He aimed two revolvers, and hesitated for imperceptible reasons before shooting them both, tearing holes through two creatures. Then he scaled the side of the fire escape ledge, jumping down to join Snake on the ground, stumbling slightly from impact.

Surprised, Snake's head snapped up when he heard his name and he had to duck quickly to avoid being gored.

"Ocelot?" He echoed, watching incredulously as he landed on the ground, not quite as gracefully as his namesake would. On Snake's list of "people he'd want at his back in a fight," Revolver Ocelot ranked pretty damn low, mostly due to his penchant for backstabbing anyone careless enough to put faith in him. (At least, the Ocelot of his time, which is several decades removed from this one. Here's where things get confusing.) But beggars couldn't be choosers, and right now Ocelot was the lesser of many, many evils.

He readjusted his grip on his makeshift weapon and swung the pipe in an arc, keeping the encroaching crowd of monsters back several feet.

"What the hell are you doing here?" He snapped.

"Helping," he explained, which wasn't really an explanation, and shot half of the neck off of an especially daring creature that had been crouching and ready to jump. He scowled to himself, as if it were a bad shot, even though the monster was disabled. He quickly rubbed his eyes with his sleeve and aimed at another target. "Careless, Snake. You look like you're about to get your ass kicked."

His spurs jingled as he stepped sideways, until he was nearly touching Snake shoulder-to-shoulder, keeping his body rigid and steady. Two more monsters jerked from tearing bullets and dropped at simultaneous discharges of the revolvers.

"After everything you claim, I'd think you'd know me better than that," he replied. A pause and a grunt as he beat another of the things away and raised his SOCOM to finish it off. And a few of its friends. "I'm not that easy to kill."

He caught the movement out of the corner of his eye. It wasn't like Ocelot to miss a shot. Snake may not like him, but he can acknowledge a skilled solider when he sees one. Was he injured already?

"We need to clear a path," he ordered, tersely. They had the building at their back, but they were boxed in on every other side. If they could break free, they could find shelter somewhere.

He nodded, picking out a weak spot in the barrier of creatures. Using the heel of his hand without dropping his second gun, he rapidly fired three shots from one revolver, then repeated the gesture with the other revolver. Several creatures dropped, nearly breaking the line, save for two animals that remained in the way.

Ocelot hissed in disapproval and flicked both gun chambers open. Each was empty. "Go!" he snarled, positioning himself behind Snake while he slammed bullets into the guns with his thumb with nearly-inhuman speed trained by years of obsessive practice. It would only take a few seconds to completely reload, but for those seconds he'd be vulnerable, depending on Snake for cover. At least he could run while he reloaded.
