Orochimaru rarely left SERO, but even he had to eat at some point. Today was unique in that he hadn't requested his assistants make him something, but went out instead. Whims were meant to be obeyed. Orochimaru knew this well.

This was also why, once he had caught sight of Aizen's lieutenant, he couldn't resist a quick transformation. He approached Gin as his perfect doppelganger. Everything was in perfect accordance with what he saw before him and what he had heard and seen over the network.

Orochimaru approached the man with a suitably amused expression on his face--the wide smile he had seen Gin wearing.

"That ain't nice, you know."

The recognition hit Gin instantly, and if he didn't know better, he would have thought he had turned to face a mirror. Mirrors didn't speak. Mirrors didn't grin back so uncannily.

"What? I - wait. What?" There hadn't even been a trace of some kind of familiar power. Was someone playing a prank?

Ah, and there was the reaction he had been expecting. Orochimaru's smile widened. He was pleased his observations were correct. He kept his chakra level around what he felt coming from the man, and mirrored his bewilderment.

"It's a shame."

Without shame, Gin let his reiatsu trail out in coils to probe towards his doppelganger and - no, there was something off. Not physically, but... Spiritually? Mentally? Something else?

"What's a shame?" (Surely not his decision to go with the pasta in his hand.)
