Light was expecting to seek Aizen out over lunchtime, but he couldn't help but linger just a few more moments in his room, leafing through one of the books that had been provided to catch him up on the fortnight of lectures that he had already missed. The plan was to attend the sixty hours of second-year lectures and take the full degree at the end of only one year, but that meant dedication--something that academically he had in spades.
A few minutes turned into ten, and Light jumped as the speaker on the wall buzzed to life, putting the book back into its allocated place to go and touch the button for the mic.
Aizen. Of course, his lunch date. Was he that late?
"I'll be down straight away."
Pulling his coat over his arm in case the weather turned, and making sure to get his key, Light slipped out of the room, trying not to be too long. It wasn't that he'd mind keeping a teacher waiting, but in this particular instance it wasn't just a teacher.
"You're looking..." What was the right word? "--Pedestrian."
"But it doesn't change much, does it? People saw you in action." As hesitant as he is he falls into step, not respectfully behind, but beside Aizen, keeping pace.
There were indeed people watching, but they were watching their professor, not Light at his side; he was grateful for that.
And he knows, acutely, that Aizen is keeping a close eye on him. It's strange to be watched like this, that he's more self away than ever as they finally leave the campus.
"I don't mind where we go, and I don't really think I'm familiar enough with this city or even this area to suggest going somewhere else. Thank you for asking, though."

"This is Yagami Light."

Hopefully it wouldn't look too strange, a professor hanging around in a fraternity lobby.

"Bringing Kyouka Suigetsu into the university wouldn't be very wise."

"Where are we going?"

Strolling along, he gave his attention to Light and Light alone, letting the calls of others fall on deaf ears.
"There's a cafe nearby, it's just down the road. I thought we might have lunch there, unless you'd rather try somewhere else."
