Kenpachi walked into the back office to find Tifa passed out on the desk. He was planning to tell Sam, but she could take care of this just as well as him.

He ignored the napping. "Hey, I broke a table."

Tifa came awake with a start at the unfamiliar voice, blinking blearily at Kenpachi. It took her fuzzy brain a moment to catch up to what he'd said and she nodded slowly, wiping her eyes.

"Putting someone through it?" She knew how Kenny worked, and if he broke a table teaching someone manners, then it was likely a table well spent. Even if she -was- peeved at him for dueling Brooke.

Kenpachi smiled when Tifa got it without him having to give a long explanation. "Yeah, the fucker was asking for it."

The smile dropped. "I don't have to fill out any paperwork, do I?"

"It wasn't a newcomer or an employee right?" She didn't figure so, but it was good to be sure after the Brooke thing.

She already had a pen out and was jotting down notes. No sense punishing Kenny for doing his job, Sam probably did the paperwork for him usually.

She had a break from the slow traffic tonight. The club didn't seem as heavily packed as normal, or they had more staff on tonight to handle it, she wasn't sure which. With Sam missing the whole atmosphere seemed... strange. Like when that guy came in to run things when Sam was taken in. It didn't feel right.

At least it was just Tifa that was running things now and not that asshole.

Asking the others where Tifa disappeared to, a few people didn't know, till one pointed out that she was in Sam's office. On her break she took a sandwich and two bottles of water to the office, knocking once but opening the door, peeking in and seeing the dark haired girl sleeping there.

She pondered letting the girl sleep or waking her up. Either way she would leave the things she brought. Sitting the plate, covered with a cloth napkin on the table, she nudged the girls shoulder very lightly. If she woke up to that then she'd talk, if not she'd back out, leaving a bottle of water with the food before she left.

Tifa started a little at the gentle nudge, her eyes fluttering open...before widening slightly as she sat up straight, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand and looking like the kid caught with her hand in the cookie jar.

"Nami...I...was...asleep, wasn't I?" She looked and sounded sheepish.

"You're either a light sleeper or you were barely out." Turning to pull a chair up, backwards, and straddling over it before siting down, leaning a arm on the back of it. Propping her head up in her chin she watched the girl.

"Have you eaten today?" she asked, nudging the sandwich forward. "I'm on break so... thought I'd bring you something to eat."

"I don't think I've been out for very long..." Tifa blinked at the sandwich as her stomach gurgled and flushed. "Thanks Nami, I havn't really had time to sit down and make something today. It's just been...one of those days you know?"

She offers a helpless shrug.

The club seemed a lot quieter than Vanille expected it to, maybe because it wasn't regular hours, or maybe because of the owner's disappearance. Vanille didn't know which. She didn't see Tifa around either, but that didn't stop her from poking around a bit in search of her. She didn't want to just leave without at least trying to find her.

"Tifa? Tifa, are you in here?" She glanced in an office and saw Tifa at the desk, head pillowed on her arms. Vanille hesitated, then knocked gently on the open door. "Hello?"

Tifa stirred slightly and raised her head to blink sleepily at the sound. She stares for a moment and then her eyes get wide and she sits up a little straighter, wiping at the corner of her mouth.

"Vanille! You came! Come in, have a seat" She smiles.

"Well of course I came!" Vanille beamed to see Tifa awake and took the invited seat, in an empty office chair. "I said I would, didn't I? Besides, there's no reason you should have to be alone at a time like this."

The happy expression faded as she thought of why she'd come, and she reached out to put a hand sympathetically on Tifa's arm. "Are you okay?"

"Ah...yeah, yeah I'm okay." Tifa puts her hand over Vanille's and nods slowly. "I'm...tired, I'll admit, but I'm not going to let the place close before Sam comes back."

-If- he comes back. It's a thought that worms it's way in, despite being unwanted.
