[Edgeworth is leaning against the counter of his apartment, a sheaf of papers in his hands, reading glasses on, clearly deeply ensconced in what's written there. He doesn't look up.]

[It's Broadway's first time seeing Edgeworth in person. He looks stuffy, but normal.]

[When the tapping doesn't work, he decides to call him on the NV. Don't want to bang the window in and give the poor guy a heart attack.]

Hi. It's Broadway. Are you home? We really need to talk.

I'm coming over.

[It takes Edgeworth a moment to respond, wanting as he does to get to the end of his sentence. Without taking his eyes from the page, he gropes around for his NV and manages to knock it off the counter like a smooth smoothie. His expression of embarrassment is much more pronounced than it would be in public as he sets aside his papers to pick up his NV. And that's saying something.]

Ah, quite. Regarding what, precisely?

Can't really talk about it on the NV, or I wouldn't be coming over. Could you do me a favor and let me in? It's freezing out here and I think it's gonna start raining again.

[Edgeworth is seated on his chair, deep resignation on his face as he realizes that he's going to have to put up with company. He's braced himself as best he can, with a mug of tea beside him, dressed in his daywear. Broadway, meanwhile, has taken over his couch and is sitting enthusiastically flipping through channels on the TV. The apartment itself is small, so there won't be enough room for everyone; some people will have to sit on the floor or on Edgeworth's bed, upon which he's placed books precisely to discourage this very action. Likewise, he's firmly shut his tea - the only real refreshment in the apartment apart from a sparse carton of eggs and a few cans of soup - away in the cabinets.]

[Sam had received the invitation, but had chosen not to respond. He'd chosen, in fact, to spend a long evening arguing with himself about whether he should even attend. He was wary about drawing attention, and even more wary about getting involved in the sort of tactics Broadway had brought up. It would have been better for him to avoid the meeting at all]

[...but curiosity and a true desire to help can be a coward's fall, and Sam is no exception]

[which is why there's a Eurasian Eagle-Owl perched on one of the windowsill's of Edgeworth's apartment, absently preening itself as it spies on the proceedings]

[Lenalee arrives not nearly as soon as she gets the invitation but close enough. Work is rather exhausting and Broadway's announcement over her NV had awoken her from a long nap. She hasn't been able to relax like that since she gotten to Siren's Port, not that she is able to relax much given the circumstances, but now that someone from her world is here with her, it takes off much of the edge. Aside from the napping, she had to go ask Lavi if he wanted to take part in this, and waking up a sleep-depraved teenage boy takes a few minutes. Then she had to shower and change into her Exorcist uniform (she wants to be taken seriously in this meeting) and other things girls do when wanting to make a good first impression.

She looks up from the paper where she has Edgeworth's apartment number written down. Ah ha!] Here it is! Lavi! Over here!

[After waving him over, Lenalee dusts the invisible wrinkles off her skirt and knocks lightly on the door.]

[Lavi used with permission from the mun. Lavi will be responding after Lenalee.]

[Yawning a little, he follows after her until he's standing next to her. Sure, he'd made to look good and presentable but he was still a fair bit tired and trying to not look more exhausted than he already was] So.. why're we here again?

Y'never really told me much about why we had t' go so soon as possible..
