Nnoitra arrived a split second after he sent his message, coming out of sonido in the middle of the shithole that was the arena thing. With a flick of his wrist, he sent several heads flying, using sonido again to avoid any of that acid blood shit. A creature came at him from his left and he sliced it down the middle. Two more came from behind him and he laughed, slicing through one and crushing the other's head with his bare hand. They were all fucking peons compared to the real shit he knew was lurking around, shit that had given even him a good run, but it'd been a while since he cut loose.

Nnoitra fired a series of bala, annihilating several dozen of the creepers that were trying to edge in from the sides, before firing off a cero at a big one. It cut through the tub of lard's middle and it went down with a loud splat. Nnoitra wasn't even winded. He scowled as he shoved his fist into another asshole's gut. Shit was becoming boring, so he used sonido to appear right in front of the dugout, sending a sneaky fucker that'd tried to ( ... )

From the protection of the bunker, Light watched in abject fascination. The levels of power this stranger displayed -- his speed; too fast for his eye to track, the vast weapon he weilded, and the incredible energy attacks he seemed to use with remarkable ease. They were inhuman, and if they had been able to touch a Shinigami, there was no doubt in his mind that they would be up to the task. He had to shield his eyes from the cero, even though he desperately wanted to watch, and was there a certain pressure in his presence? A weight that pressed down unyieldingly on him as though a strong man were pushing insistently down on his shoulders?

Withdrawing his hand, Light continued to watch, determined to miss as little as possible, though he couldn't keep up with most of the movement. It was incredibly violent, but the power! He wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of it ( ... )

Well. That was true. He was pretty fucking memorable, wasn't he? Nnoitra grinned. "Maybe they fucked with yer memories, but I saw ya in paradise before I was dragged t' this shithole."

Nnoitra cut two more bitches that thought they could take him, then turned away to fire a cero out into the field. Fuckers were relentless.

"Well, whatever. Let's blow this place," Nnoitra said, rolling his eye. He was already fucking tired of the annoying weakasses flocking to them. He'd see what this guy was all about then kill him. Or not. Depended on his mood.

In paradise? That wasn't possible either, not when Light didn't believe in Heaven or Hell. No. It didn't matter if this man thought he'd seen him elsewhere -- there was no such thing as paradise, and even if there was... No. Clearly in the way he spoke, and the ease with which Light had manipulated his arrival, this man was lacking a few brain cells to make up for his unbelievable strength. It wouldn't be the first time.

"Of course."

Carefully he drew himself out of the bunker, skirting around the pools of blood. A few splashes had burned through his suit trousers, ruining them -- well, that was a good start. "I'll follow your lead, though I'm afraid I can't go nearly as fast."
