Aya pushed some of his hair from his face as he looked over at Ken. He hadn't expected things to take quite that long at the shop. Putting things away had taken more time than he'd planned. By now, he was ready to have a cup of tea with a book.

He didn't know what Ken would do with his time.

Looking up at the sky, he noted the time. "It's later than I realized," he mused, not really talking to Ken at all but still speaking loud enough for him to hear.

"Yeah...we need to keep better track of the time, apparently," Ken responded, an edgy tone to his voice--they were out after dark, after all, and without their weapons. Who really needed them, working at a flower shop?

At least there wasn't the sun beating down on them. It almost made the still-present heat bearable.

If he'd been capable of feeling joy right now, Nagi would have felt it the moment he noticed both Ken and Aya nearby, without their weapons to try and use against him. But instead, all he thought was that no weapons made for easier kills. He slipped out of the darker shadows and flung his power at both of them, hoping to knock them off balance.

Aya sensed someone there just before he actually realized what was happening. Doing the only thing he could think of, he covered his vitals with his arms to protect himself as he was pushed back. Grinding his teeth together, he looked at their attacker. At first, he almost didn't recognize him and his eyes widened when he realized who it was. Or who it might be.

"Nagi..."

Well, she had to be out at night training, of course. Of all the people who needed to be out and getting stronger, it was Minako. She wandered Sector Four, keeping close to home tonight. Most of the others were getting ready for the beach tomorrow, but she needed to stretch her legs at least. Besides, it was good to try and practice. Still...something didn't seem right outside. The air felt heavier, angrier...

What was that feeling?

This person was a new face to him, but that didn't stop Nagi from wanting to see her dead or nearly dead on the sidewalk. She was human and humans had to be destroyed for everything they did to people born differently from themselves. He slunk behind her for a few steps like a darker shadow and mentally shoved her forward towards a nearby light post. If she hit it, she'd break open part of her face.

She didn't have much time to react, but she could feel that darkness... It was like a Shadow. She stumbled forward and caught herself awkwardly with her naginata, swinging herself around to face the force that had pushed her. Her eyes widened. It was an odd monster, like the other night. It had a slightly humanesque shape, like Asch's friend. She held up her weapon defensively for the moment.

Her weapon probably wouldn't be useful for long, not even if she held onto it as tightly as possible. Nagi kept himself out of range of the naginata and gave it a sharp mental yank, intending to disarm her and make her far less of an apparent threat.
