Open to all and NPC haggling! ofthearcana August 15 2010, 16:17:13 UTC
Minako heads over early enough in the day to hopefully get what she needs, grabbing up two bags to stuff most of what she wants inside. The house is going to need a lot of this, from the simple toothbrushes to toilet paper and everything else. She's got three days worth of two jobs under her belt, though, so money isn't exactly an issue.

She quickly puts in a few of the simple things into her bags, the small things for one, two dollars. And then she moves onto the items she knows will be wanted by the housemates; some training things for Akihiko, a couple of shirts for Shinjiro, a laptop for Ken... Hopefully, these can also work as peace offerings to keep the group together.

He was bored, he was curious, and it was on his way to the hospital anyhow. He figured, what the heck, might as well. There were people all over the place, so it was a good thing he was invisible. No one could see him, no on ran into him.

Wandering the house, bored, he was more interested in the manner of how people acted then anything here really. He didn't need much as it was, though even he had seen a few things of interest.

He came up behind the girl, not thinking, as really he couldn't be seen. Ah, but he could be heard, and he chuckled. It was just beside her, and he didn't mean to be heard, but that chuckle was very clear and very right near her shoulder. Sorry to be a creeper.

Did she really have shopping bags in the middle of some fools home?

Minako slid one of the bags onto her shoulder as she began to look over some of the cookware to see if any of it could be used. Shinjiro and her were good cooks, and it was nice to see some things that they could use...but whether she had the money or the capability to carry them home was another story. She frowned, tapping a finger to her lips.

The sound from right by her ear nearly frightened her, but she instead took a more directive approach, swinging her hand around defensively. But that was the thing... He wasn't really 'there'. The girl blinked, startled. "Hello? Who's laughing?"

He looked a bit amused really. It's too bad he couldn't be seen. She was really seriously shopping as if in a store huh? When she spun around like that though, startled and asking who was laughing, his hand came up to hide his mouth.

Right, right. Heard but not seen. Oops. He cleared his throat and... spoke. "Sorry. Invisible. Didn't mean to startle you. Ah... to your left." he said as a warning, because hey, he was getting better at warning people! He faded in, a hand pulling at his battered old black t-shirt over corded jeans.

"Sorry. Didn't mean to laugh..." Claudio had been in a bit better of a mood this last week since Trauma had come back, he wasn't even sure why. "Finding good deals?"

The ad had looked tempting, over the NV, although Rin didn't know what half of the stuff listed there actually was. She'd mostly gone for the food and for the clothes, and browsed through the rest of it with a sensation of complete unreality. Whatever these things made out of metal and glass and she had no idea what else were, they were miles away from her world, and the world she'd left behind.

She almost felt like leaving completely, only she still needed things. Food and clothes. If it was cheap, she would see what she could spring for, even if it was miserably hot out and crowded and noisy.

As the girl wandered around, Sousuke happened to be doing the same thing, simply in the opposite direction. He did nothing so ridiculous as actually bump into her, however, spotting her across a table laden with seven years of Playboy magazines.

He assumed she had simply zoned out, clearing his throat.

"Pardon me," he said kindly. "If you're done browsing these -" a nod was given to the ... interesting collection - "I'd like to take a look at the radio over there."

"Ah." It took a moment before Rin realized that the man talking was talking to her, and she refocused from her slight haze in an instant, in enough time to really get a good look at what was stacked up on the table in front of her. Her mouth opened for a minute in startlement - really? Really? - and then she backed up, lifting her hands, conciliatory although he'd spoken quite kindly. "Ah, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I didn't want to be in anyone's way -"

"You're not," he chuckled. "I wouldn't want to disturb your ... browsing."

Roxas and Joe, browsin' pullsheavendown August 15 2010, 17:38:36 UTC
Roxas had never been to a garage sale before. A couple of times he'd responded to people's classified ads for personal transactions, but for bigger sales he'd only gone to actual stores. This seemed pretty cool. It was fun to look through what was there and be surprised.

And this would be taking the column person's advice of doing stuff together. Good times, nothing to worry about. Hopefully Joe hadn't noticed that particular letter, but...well, too late now. "Hey, check this out." He held up a small plastic ball that was punched with holes and hollow inside. "How can anyone even hit this? It's so light."

...Nah, thankfully Joe had taken a little more time with the motorcycle chase and the classifieds to really care about other people getting advice. Lucky thing.

And now sports equipment had absorbed most of his attention- there was a catcher's mitt and some aluminum bats, some training weights...a basketball hoop that clipped on over a doorway (his eyes kept gravitating back to it, hoping no one else would try and claim it while he browsed.)

"It's probably for kids." he shrugged, "Or for just playing catch."

"Yeah? Catch!" Roxas grinned and tossed the ball to him. "I guess we could use it to play with Xion and Namine, but I think they can handle more than some little kid's ball."

The bats were interesting, though. He picked one up, testing its weight, initially holding it like he would the Keyblade before correcting to a stance like the ones he'd seen the pro-players use. "It's pretty hot for it lately, but maybe when it cools down, we could get a game together. Just for fun."

"That would be fun." He smiled. Outside of work, of responsibilities like paying for the apartment and making sure there was enough to buy food and keep the lights on, and making sure the monsters didn't follow him home...life had been a lot of fun in this city. Even with all the bad things, and the newcomer prejudice.

Speaking of which- ... "Hm...maybe not till we get the movie project done, though. I've got to get into that fast. There's only a little over two weeks left already. ...Maybe we could do a scene playing baseball on the newcomer's field, though." An excuse to pick up the bats and the ball, at least.

He walked up and down the tables, peering at appliances, shuffling through CDs. "What else of this stuff do we need?"

Open to NPCs and just plain open! axemeaquestion August 15 2010, 18:05:06 UTC
A cheating ex-boyfriend garage sale? That was something she could get behind. Even if she wouldn't be able to get her hands on anything, well? This sounded like fun for a garage sale. She wandered around, looking for anything available, mainly looking for that laptop mentioning and eying the leftover furniture.

"Just in time to fill up the new apartment. I need an office, anyway..."

More talking to herself than anyone.

Hm. Yosuke stared hard at the love seat and ottoman set. His head gave a very slight tilt at it before deciding exactly how he would even get it back to the apartment. Really, he was so uncertain about all of this, but it seemed like it would be a good surprise for everyone. Holding his chin, he hummed a few times before finally leaving it be, before going to see what CDs were about.

Which box, which box? He did pause to look at the magazines that were listed to have been about, scratching the back of his head lightly. Those really seemed like they should be thrown out, 'cause it was really embarrassing to just see them. Lightly poking the tips of his fingers together, he was feeling more than a little childish about it before deciding to get away from this shameful area to pick up a house plant instead.

"Gilbert!" In a very classic Yosuke moment, his arm jerked out to hit the box that he was currently looking through. He made a surprised noise before jerking his other arm out to catch hold of it before it went tumbling on the floor.

Of course, he dropped it himself as soon as he held it because ew, holding someone's dirty magazines that might very well be used in a way no one wants to buy used magazines. Which ended them falling on the ground anyway.

He stared at the mess for a bit, before hooking onto Gilbert's arm to try to walk him to the house plants and away from what he just did as quickly as possible.
