From the moment she asked him to come over Gabu had headed off, taking memorized shortcuts and avoiding the main streets until he arrived at the starter apartments. Already he was starting to go through things he had wanted to add to his advertisement. And also preparing for any little task Tsubaki had for him.

"Hey there, Tsubaki!" The wolf wagged his tail at the sight of the girl on the stairs. Gabu headed over, but stopped a little ways before the staircase. Humans still didn't really like it when a large wolf suddenly ran towards them, he had observed.

Her head perked and turned towards Gabu's direction. She squinted, her eyesight making it difficult to make out any details besides a dark blob calling her name. She blinked in silence for a few seconds. In all honesty, even though she had seen him before through her NV, she didn't expect a wolf to be so large. She did her best not to show her surprise, tilting her head and smiling once Gabu drew closer towards the stairs.

"Oh, Gabu! That was pretty quick."

"Heheh, I guess I did. Just took some shortcuts, nothing that impressive." The wolf grinned at her toothily, approaching slowly on all fours. Gabu noticed her squinting and tilted his head when he got closer. How bad were her eyes, he wondered.

He sat down in front of her and wagged his tail slowly. "How've you been?"

"I've been doing well. It's been a bit stressful, but I'm doing my best to be optimistic." She replied, continuing to smile. Being able to lie straight through her own teeth had always been easy. The new circumstances at being in Siren's Port changed nothing except make it even more necessary.

"What about yourself?"
