Isshin headed over to Ryuuken's place, carefully skirting the bigger darkness monsters and most of the rioting. He let himself in, kicking off his shoes at the door before he dared step into Ishida's house. He looked over his shoulder, then he shut and locked the door behind him.

"Ryuuken?" He called out, one hand on the hilt of Engetsu. Ryuuken's door had been unlocked. It could mean that Ryuuken had just left it that way for him, but it could also mean something worse than that. There wasn't any response just yet.

Isshin was very tense. He moved quickly though the apartment, checking nervously for Ryuuken or... well, anyone. When he came to the bedroom, he found Ishida there, alone. He relaxed, the tenseness bleeding out of his shoulders and he took his hand off of his sword. "You shouldn't leave your door unlocked like that, Ryuuken." He scolded, uncommonly serious. "There are riots going on."

Ryuuken felt Isshin's reiatsu coming closer as he propped himself up on his pillows. He relaxed at the footsteps, so much so that he almost fell asleep. He really was very tired, and just knowing Isshin was there was a huge comfort. For once, he didn't even mind the fact that he was being chastised. Under normal circumstances, he wouldn't stand for it, but right now, he was too tired to care.

"I can take care of myself, Isshin," was his half-hearted reply. He closed his eyes and sighed.

Isshin didn't respond to that. Ryuuken seemed like he was too tired to get into any arguments right now. He undid the tie that held his katana on and set the weapon down by the door. He walked over to the bed and sat down beside Ryuuken, looking down at him.

"Do you want to talk about it, Ryuuken?"

Ryuuken was almost asleep again when Isshin spoke. He cracked an eyelid and considered the question. The nightmares had been plaguing him for a little while, and had grown progressively worse. What had started off a simple irritation had become something else entirely. Ryuuken wasn't one to let things get to him, but this had somehow. It was absurd but the dreams had shaken his confidence and made him feel uncomfortable, even at work.

"I'm not sure." If it would help, he would do it. But as it was, Ryuuken's pride would not allow him to act in such an undignified manner if it wasn't absolutely necessary.
