Apologies for not as good of a tag as it could be! ridi_arlecchino July 31 2010, 05:22:59 UTC
Harley loved this kind of atmosphere. She was in one of those few places that she could go in costume without someone thinking she was crazy. Or knowing she was crazy, rather. Some things were better left as a fun surprise. She entered the fairgrounds with a smile on her painted face. As long as a minimum number of little kids asked her to make balloon animals for them, she would be happy.

She had been meaning to stop by ever since she had arrived at Siren's Port, after she had talked to Allen Walker. He seemed like a friendly enough guy and she figured if anyone could show her around the circus, it would be someone who worked there. Harley kept her eyes peeled as she walked around. The clown girl didn't realize that the masked act balancing on a ball was the person she was looking for for when she stopped to watch him. The mask was worth admiring, and she had to stop herself from trying to mimic his pose.

Now, a lot of different people had come and gone, but Allen couldn't rightly say that someone with a painted face had entered and not headed straight for the employee tent. In fact, he'd even say it was the first time they'd stopped in front of him. The look was... familiar, but--

He kept up his pose, even rolled it a bit to the side, legs and feet straight. Unmistakably looking up, though. "Welcome! What brings you here, ma'am?" A much cheerier pitch than normal, to fit the mask - now, where had he seen that face before...?

Harley tilted her head, the liliripes of her jester's hat going uneven as if she was a red-and-black scale.

"I'm lookin' for a fella," she answered. There was a brief pause, and she clarified. "Umm... Arliss? Aaron? Allen?" Er, at least that was an attempt at clarification. She was never very good with names. "He told me I oughta check out this joint out back when I first got to this burg."

"Did you come by the boat, or the--" Stutter, break, fall. So that's why she looked familiar. He flipped himself over, righting up on two feet, ball tucked under an arm. All smiles, mask's carved one included. Nah, the name-forgetting didn't bother him.

"Harley Quinn, is it? Miss Harley?"
