Well, yeah. Apparently that's the grade you're supposed to be in when you're ten, so . . . I got homeschooled back in my world, so I don't really know what's supposed to be normal.
[He does perk up at the subject matter, though.] Math? I could help you, if you want. I'm really good at it.

It's not unheard of for youths to enter colleges at an earlier age, if they're especially gifted. Though, in this town, I'm unsure of whether or not it's allowed.
As for your lodging, I have an extra room if you need it.

I would imagine the universities are based on merit. Perhaps it would be easier with a sponsor--someone to speak for you who is of age.
