[Sarina looks the slightest bit disappointed to hear that. It seemed like almost all of her friends would return, if they had the chance. She understood, even if she herself had nothing to go back to, but it was still depressing to think about.
In spite of that, she managed to smile.]
I suppose if you have unfinished business, it'd be better to return to that.
I just wish that there was a way for people to return -- if they wanted to. Eeheehee...
[ He looks surprised. ] Of course I would return, if I could. I have met many people I have come to care about, in this city. I would be sorry to lose your friendship, for one.
But I heard from one person that once they were in their own world again, they lost all memory of this place. That is, until they returned again. Haha...so the most depressing thing of all, about people returning to their world, is that they won't even remember you.
See, I wouldn't either. Hahaha -- although I don't know what would be worse between being returned in a world where you'd retain your memories, but have no way of getting back to the people you care about...or not remembering them in the first place.
Yes. It would be... [ He tries to search for the word he wants, but fails. Lamely, he settles for, ] ... a disservice, I think, to forget.
[ As though those memories meant nothing at all, and could be turned away from so easy. His ears pin back, but it's not at anything they're discussing right now. ]
Sometimes I wish I could forget some things -- ahaha -- but at the same time, I know my memories are necessary.
[brief pause.] Like, for instance, I wouldn't know how to defend myself.

What about you? Would you stay here or go, if you have the chance?

If we could pass between this world and our own more freely-- that would be ideal.

[Her smiled faltered as she continued.]

I would not like to lose my memories a second time, I think.

Either would be unpleasant, but I would prefer to remember, I think.

[Even if she only had a couple of minutes to live, in her world.]
Ahaha -- at the very least, I'm glad I've formed connections here that I never had the chance to experience.

[She watched his ears go back, wondering what was troubling him, exactly. But was it her business to ask?]
So - uh I hope you get more sleep. Since the latest trouble is dealt with. I hope...
[She'll just try to change the subject in hopes that it'll make things better?]
