[Vivi clambers clumsily up onto the roof. Normally it would have been easy but she hadn't been moving as well the past few days, her mind just wasn't as clear. It also didn't help that she had a large sack tied awkwardly to her back. She knew Zoro hadn't been eating and hearing the crash on the sidewalk confirmed her suspicions about his location as well as his condition.

She gets herself up over the edge of the roof, stands to greet Zoro, over balances from the weight of the bag and starts to fall backwards.]

[Already aware of another presence approaching him, Zoro is up in a flash and moved over to the edge where Vivi had appeared. He has a firm grip on her arm, preventing her from falling and simultaneously pulling her into a more balanced stance. He doesn't actually move her onto the roof further, leaving that to her, but he won't let her go over the edge. The swordsman is both surprised and not surprised to see her. It was a matter of time before the others sought him out. He hadn't been avoiding them, but he needed to do thinking, which he did best alone and training. The girls and Usopp were smarter than him so he would leave them to figure out who had killed the cook; then, he and Luffy would take care of it.]

Vivi, [He greets her with just her name, baritone it's usual flatness.] What are you doing here?

B-bushido-san! [She gasps, the shock momentarily causing her to switch back to her old nickname for him.] I was worried when I saw the weight drop and you haven't eaten in days. [She moves away from the edge, eyeing it warily, before setting down the heavy bag.] I thought you might need something to eat.

[Of course everyone had to notice that he dropped the barbell.. HOW COULD THEY NOT NOTICE THAT?! He was hoping that no one had.]

It slipped.

[When she sets the sack down, Zoro's head tilts to one side. It was just like the kind-hearted Alabasta princess to worry, it was part of her nature, but it was unnecessary as far as he was concerned. It had probably seemed like he had been skipping meals since he hadn't been downstairs much - hardly at all, if compared to how often he usually napped in various locations in the restaurant - but the swordsman was smart enough to not starve himself entirely as he worked things out. He had been grabbing food here and there, though it was by no means full meals. Still, she was only trying to be helpful, wasn't she? and food didn't sound like a bad idea. He releases his hold on her arm as soon as she's away from the ledge, dark eyes alert.]

Aa, thanks.

[Ever since Zoro's return to the restaurant, Sanji's body held in his arms before it simply... vanished when night hit, Luffy had been uncharacteristically quiet. Sure, at first he'd yelled, grabbed the front of Zoro's shirt and demanded an explanation that Zoro didn't have, but the reality of seeing that lifeless body sank in before too long ( ... )

I'm going to say this occurred before Vivi made it up getslost February 6 2011, 05:40:31 UTC
[Luffy's voice carries up, quiet by the time it reaches his ears. Quiet and serious. There was too much of that lately. A small frown turns the corners of Zoro's mouth downward. He takes his time in replying, situating himself further into meditation posture first, with his arms resting over his crossed legs, and shutting his eyes. It isn't long before he answers, figuring Luffy would be listening for his response.]

It didn't hit anyone, right? It's fine there for a while.

It busted up the sidewalk.

[Despite leaning partway out of the window, Luffy is still unable to see Zoro. He doesn't need to see to know how Zoro'd been trying to cope, though; the weight is proof enough, both of how his first mate had been spending his time and that his method of coping wasn't working completely.]

..Don't you still need it? [Although it wouldn't be much, retrieving the weight for his nakama would give him something to do.]

[Again, Zoro doesn't answer right away. He exhales a cloud into the chill air, unable to fully concentrate with Luffy talking. He won't tell his captain off right now, though.]

Yeah. Why don't you bring it up.
