It is.

What would you have done to the perpetrators?

[He's calmer, or more correctly less hostile, than he as been in the past, talking to Claire.]

[he raises a brow slightly, and rests his chin in the palm of his hand, frowning slightly]

What I would choose to do to the person responsible for those bodies doesn't matter, does it? I'm not the one going after them. Isn't that the police?

I'm not asking for you to be responsible. I'm asking what you feel should be done.

Trying to suss out my motives, then, is it? Or gauge what sort of man I am?

It's irrelevant, still, but don't you think the majority of people here would want to see justice served?

Murders happen every day in a City like this, don't they?

This is more than just a murder. There's a pattern.

I wouldn't disagree with that. This City seems to have a habit of serial killings.

It is disgusting. But I'm not sure... would it be because they think these people don't matter, or is it something else?

As far as this City is concerned, people like that don't matter. Mind you, AGI does care to some extent. There are rules about this sort of thing.

As far as the city is concerned, maybe. But as a doctor, I have a duty to my patients. And people like that happen to be my patients.

I wouldn't say it doesn't matter to people like you or me, who have a stake in this sort of thing.

This entire business just makes AGI look bad.

[he makes a small smile]

Honestly, it's unwise to show what breaks you up on this NV, isn't it?

Probably, but that doesn't stop people from doing it all the time.

Of course not. Intelligence is far from universal.

That's true. Though I suppose the populace does get a little complacent after too much of this sort of thing.

It's a shame, really.

With people dyin' all the time, I guess it's not surprisin' they're not gonna care much when it's a few slaves.

Whether it's slaves or not, the complacency still sets in.

It's piqued my interest though, since it's related to AGI. Is that why it's piqued yours?
